A few minutes passed before Zhang broke the kiss. He pulled away slowly and waited for Xuans reaction. When he didn't get an instant one he panicked.
"Pervert." Xuan kicked him before he could get far. She got up and pushed him a few times until he crashed into the wall. "What the hell do you want from me now? I'll give you the damn money, alright?"
"I don't want anything X." Zhang sighed, feeling threatened as her hand was on his stomach next to his wound and her other on his shoulder wound. "Please move your hand slightly to the left? And take your hand off my shoudler?"
"No you. . . Why? Why do you look like that hurt I was just leaning on you?" Xuan pulled her hands away quickly.
"Nothing." Zhang stated, scared if he told her about the wounds she would hurt him.
Xuan pulled his shirt up but quickly dropped it. "Gosh. You just don't take care of yourself do you? I swear you have a death wish." She pulled him back to the bed and grabbed the medical supplies.
Zhang stopped her before she could see his shoulder wound. "Baby. I'm fine."
"Zhay. I can easily slice your throat right now," Xuan said angirly.
Zhang let her pull his shirt off and she froze. A few seconds passed before she closed her eyes and took a deep breath. "Gyu!" She yelled.
"No. No. I'm fine I-
"Zhay, don't fucking talk to me. I'm still mad at you and now this. I can't believe you. I really thought you were changing." Xuan interrupted.
Gyu walked in and studied the situation. "What happened?"
"He doesn't know when he's hurt is what happened," Xuan childishly crossed her arms.
"Just hurry up would you? It's cold." Zhang pouted.
Gyu looked at Xuan. "And you. Put a damn shirt on. Are you crazy. Did you sleep like that?" She questioned angirly.
Xuan nodded. "I'm going back to sleep," she slid back under the covers.
Gyu rolled her eyes and treated Zhang's injuries. "Alright." She huffed when she finished. "It wasn't to bad. Just not recently tended to. Just. . ." She paused realizing he was asleep. Xuan had her head resting next to his good shoulder, her arms holding Zhang whos head rested facing her. "These kids. Why didn't they just get married?" Gyu mumbled as she walked out.
"Yeah X. Why didn't you just say yes?" Zhang teased.
"Because I'm not marrying a rude, stuck up, gold digging man." She answered.
Zhang shrugged. "At least it wasn't ugly."
Xuan let Zhang go and slid back under the blankets. She closed her eyes to sleep.
After a few minutes, when he assumed she was asleep, Zhang moved next to her, wrapping his arms and legs around her. He rested his head on her shoulder and fell asleep.
3 AM
Xuan woke up screaming.
"X. Baby baby. I'm right here. Relax. You're ok." Zhang yelled, trying to calm her.
Xuan stayed still for a moment then jumped onto him into a tight hug.
"What's wrong what happend?" Zhang asked.
"He got us and we drove but there were guns and he killed Gyu and-
"It's ok. Everything's ok. Nothings wrong." Zhang held her tightly as she cried.
"I'm sorry. It. . .it-
"Baby it's ok. It's ok. It's ok to cry." Zhang sat up, thinking Xuan would let go but she clinged to his neck instead. "Go back to sleep. It's ok."
"I'm not going back to sleep. I can't. . . I won't" Xuan burried her face into Zhnags shoulder.
Zhang stood up. "Let's go for a walk."
Xuan just tightened her grasp around Zhang.
He wrapped a blanket around her and snuck out the front door. "Do you want to talk about it?"
There was a moment of silence. "We can't ever go to a warehouse. Mr. Kim will kill Gyu, police will be there, and Mr. Kim will stab me before he gets arrested."
Zhang walked to the back of the house to the pool. He sat down, letting his feet sit in the water. "I won't let him hurt you X."
"There's a pool here?" Xuan changed the subject. She set the blanket aside and sat next to Zhang with her feet in the water.
"Yeah. I thought it'd look nice." Zhang laughed.
Xuan stared into the water. "Come on," she pulled him to his feet.
"X. It's to early. Later."
"Zhay. Come on. Are you scared?" She mocked.
"Alright. Lets go," Zhang pushed her in.
Xuan screamed. She hit the water and flailed. Zhang panicked as she kept flailing as if she couldn't swim so he jumped in and grabbed her. "Zhay. Don't don't do that," Xuan whined.
"I thought you could swim," he defended.
"I can when I don't think someones trying to kill me," Xuan yelled.
Zhang laughed and wiped the water from his face. "Alright. Alright. Sorry."
Xuan laughed and pushed him.
"Hey," Zhang hissed. He shoved her back, making her fall over.
"Hey." She yelled.
She smiled and went under the water. "X? X, don't do that I can't see you." Zhang looked around worriedly.
Xuan jumped up behind him and clung to his back. "Boo."
"X. You gave me a heart attack. I fucking-
Xuan pushed him, making him fall into the deeper water. "Payback."
Zhang laughed and splashed her. Xuan splashed him back and they kept splashing each other until finaly he had enough and tackled her into the water. He made sure to bring them up quickly and leaned Xuan on the edge. "Are you ok?"
Xuan laughed and splashed him again. "Loser."
Zhang pulled her ontop of him as he floated on his back into the middle of the pool. "I don't think so."
"Hey. Bring me back to the shallow water." Xuan laughed, trying to pull herself away. When she failed she pushed them underwater so she was floating instead.
"Skilled." Zhang laughed. Xuan swam slowly towards the ladder. Once in shallower water Zhang pulled Xuan up.
"I'm cold. Can we go back?" Xuan asked.
Zhang kissed her chin and when she froze, he kissed her.
