Taehyung thought he had everything he ever wanted, money, success, and a beautiful, responsible wife. But what he didn't expect was to be drawn to a girl he met at a bar, someone who would shake his emotions and leave him questioning everything.

chapter four. _
Taehyung took a deep breath.
He was now standing outside Lisa's apartment, trying to calm the nerves crawling up his chest. The building looked expensive, but that wasn't what he came here for. He looked left, then right—checking if anyone might see him. He sighed again.
What the hell am I doing?
Finally, he knocked. Once. Twice. Three times. No one answered.
He frowned, pulling out his phone from his pocket, ready to text Lisa when the door suddenly creaked open. He looked up and met Lisa's surprised eyes.
"You? What are you doing here?" Lisa asked, clearly in shock. She hadn't expected Taehyung to actually come. Especially not at this hour—almost morning. This crazy man just left his wife?
Taehyung raised his brows casually, then shrugged. He peeked inside, then slipped his phone back into his pocket. "Can I come in?" he asked in a low voice, careful not to assume. For all he knew, Jackson might be inside.
"No one's here. Just me," Lisa answered, still frowning but moving aside. She watched him walk in, confused but not stopping him. She didn't exactly own the place—she was just staying here for now—so she let him wander around as he pleased.
"What are you even doing here?" she asked again, trailing behind him.
Taehyung finally stopped and turned around to face her. There she was—barefaced, messy hair, hoodie falling off one shoulder. Not the sexy, intimidating girl from the bar earlier. No makeup. No seduction. Just... Lisa. Looking shy and soft.
And to him, she looked even more beautiful like that.
"Nothing. Just... felt bored," he replied and dropped down onto the couch, spreading his arms comfortably across the backrest and tilting his head back with a sigh.
Lisa raised an eyebrow, grabbed the remote from the coffee table, and turned on the TV. She plopped down beside him, reaching for the bag of chips and tossing one into her mouth. "You promised you wouldn't come. And what about your wife? Don't tell me you actually left her alone just to come here?" she said, eyes still glued to the screen.
Taehyung chuckled, shaking his head. He glanced sideways at her, carefully observing her profile. He realized something. He didn't even know her full name. Not her age, not her hobbies. Just her name, her face, and this odd magnetic pull she had. It wasn't just her beauty. There was something about her that intrigued him—and he was still trying to figure it out.
"Yeah," he said casually, pretending like it didn't matter. "I left her."
He regretted it the moment it left his lips—but he acted like he didn't care. In truth, he was spiraling. He had just come home not even an hour ago—and now he was here.
He was still staring when Lisa turned her head to meet his gaze. Their eyes locked.
Taehyung couldn't look away. In her eyes, he saw something—uncertainty, maybe. Softness. And damn, those lips. Full, pink, and kissable. His eyes lingered a little too long before he forced himself to look away, swallowing hard.
"This looks a lot like cheating," Lisa joked, popping another chip into her mouth.
Taehyung pressed his lips together and shook his head playfully, making Lisa laugh. She glanced back at him and noticed how his expression had softened. He didn't look like the intimidating man from the club anymore. Right now, he looked... safe. Boyfriend material, even.
He felt her gaze and turned to meet it. His heart jumped when he caught her looking. He set his phone down on the couch and gave her his full attention.
"I heard Jackson's your boyfriend now?" he asked, placing a cushion between his legs to get comfortable.
"Yeah," she said nonchalantly. "We made it official a few weeks ago." She popped another chip into her mouth and shrugged like it didn't matter. Because, really, it didn't. She didn't feel anything—not for Jackson, not for anyone. Not even herself, sometimes.
"You? How long have you been married?" she asked.
Taehyung blinked. That question brought him back.
The marriage started as an arrangement. Something their parents had planned. But over time, it became something real. They fell in love when they least expected it. Quietly. Softly.
"Four years," he said.
Lisa nodded, slightly stunned. Four years? She thought maybe Taehyung got married a few months ago. He looked so young—way too young to be in a long marriage.
"Damn. I thought you were still in your early twenties. Turns out you're already an old man," she teased, grinning as she tried to hold back a laugh.
She glanced at him again. He hadn't responded, and she started to wonder if she'd offended him. What the hell? Don't tell me he's that serious.
But Taehyung, who had been watching her pout, suddenly laughed. He couldn't help it—she looked adorable. Too adorable. But that sweet thought quickly turned into something more... sinful.
He found himself thinking about her lips again. Her voice. Her laugh.
Without thinking, he leaned forward and kissed her.
Soft. Slow. Unexpected.
Lisa froze, eyes wide. His lips were warm and gentle, pressed against hers like a whisper. She didn't react at first, but slowly—so slowly—she gave in. Her eyes fluttered shut and she kissed him back. Her hand found its way to the back of his neck, clinging to him like instinct.
Taehyung smirked into the kiss, pulling her gently into his lap. She let him. Their lips moved like they belonged to each other. Like there was no one else in the world—not Jisoo, not Jackson. Just them.
Seconds turned into minutes. They were breathless, desperate, and still unwilling to let go.
Lisa was the first to pull back. She smacked his chest lightly, catching her breath as Taehyung groaned from the playful hit.
He grinned, arms still wrapped around her waist. He leaned in and pressed a small, sweet kiss on her lips again.
"I thought you weren't into bitches like me," Lisa said, teasing him again.
Taehyung swallowed hard, his face serious now. He shook his head.
"You're not a bitch, Lisa." His voice was low, honest.
He leaned in closer, whispering against her ear, sending chills down her spine. "If you were... I wouldn't like you."
He tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear, his fingers lingering gently against her cheek. Then he looked at her again—not like a man looking at a mistake, but like a man completely lost in something he couldn't stop.
And just like that, Taehyung forgot about everything else.
