"Let's eat dinner already, love""

chapter six.

"Breaking up with him isn't that easy, pabo," Lisa said with a soft laugh, refusing to meet Taehyung's eyes. She could feel the tension in him—the quiet rage bubbling beneath his calm surface, all because of that one picture he happened to see.

Taehyung didn't reply. He simply wrapped an arm around her waist and pulled her closer, finding a comfortable position as they watched the movie. Neither of them cared about anything else right now—not morals, not consequences, not the people they were supposed to be loyal to. They only found warmth in each other's presence. And Taehyung, deep inside, already knew—he wouldn't be letting her go again.

"Have you eaten?" he asked casually, eyes still on the screen.

Lisa gave a small nod. "Yeah."

"With your boyfriend?" he added sharply, his tone laced with annoyance.

She just hummed in response, resting her head on his chest without even thinking. She didn't see anything wrong with this—not yet. After all, it was just comfort, right? Just company. Nothing serious.

Nothing... dangerous.

Or so she told herself.

She told herself it didn't matter that he was married. She told herself this wasn't love—it was just company. Flirting. A little danger. That's all.

If feelings came into the picture... it would be her loss.

Taehyung took a deep breath and gently lifted her head from his shoulder.

"Come on. Let's eat before finishing the movie," he said, voice low and warm.

Lisa yawned but got up anyway, walking toward the kitchen. Taehyung followed her, quietly watching from the chair as she gathered ingredients. He didn't lift a finger to help—he was too distracted, too focused on the way she moved.

There was something different about Lisa.

Yes, Jisoo was beautiful. She always had been. But Lisa... Lisa had something else. A kind of pull. A glow. The kind of woman you could look at all day and still find something new to admire.

She wasn't just beautiful—she was intriguing.

Lisa moved around the kitchen casually, unaware that Taehyung hadn't stopped staring.

Then she called out, "Taehyung, your phone's ringing!"

Snapped out of his thoughts, he stood up and walked over to the couch. He froze when he saw Jisoo's name on the screen.

His thumb hovered over the answer button.

Then he declined the call.

He didn't even bother to check her messages. Instead, he shoved the phone in his pocket and muted her contact.
