"So how's your live-in setup with Taehyung-ssi, honey?" Jisoo's father asked as her family sat around the dining table, enjoying the freshly prepared food.
"We're okay, Appa. He's just been a little busy with work lately," Jisoo replied calmly, taking a small sip of her mango juice. Her eyes wandered around the room—familiar yet distant. It had been almost a year since she last stayed in her childhood home. The place felt the same, but something in her felt different.
She remembered clearly how their parents had forced them into marriage. Even worse, they insisted they live together right after the ceremony. Neither she nor Taehyung agreed at first, but eventually, they accepted it—for the sake of their families and reputation.
It was awkward at the beginning. They were strangers in the same space, trying to navigate married life under pressure. But somehow, over time, feelings started to grow between them—quiet, unexpected feelings that led them here.
"I know you've been stressed these past few days, Jisoo honey," her mother suddenly chimed in, "So what if you two take a business trip together? It might help clear both your minds."
Her father nodded in agreement. "That sounds good. And since you said Taehyung's been buried in work, this might be just what he needs."
Jisoo hesitated. The idea sounded nice, but deep down, she knew Taehyung would hate it. He wasn't the type to enjoy traveling for business—he preferred staying in his office, glued to files and paperwork. He was also incredibly distant these days.
So she slowly shook her head. "I don't think that's a good idea. You know how he is... he'd rather bury himself in work than take a break."
The disappointment on her parents' faces was obvious, but they didn't argue.
"Alright," her mom sighed, setting her chopsticks down. "Just let us know if you change your mind. The offer still stands."
Then, almost as an afterthought, her mother added, "And Jisoo... keep an eye on your husband, alright? Sometimes they say they're busy with work when they're actually... busy with something else."
The air at the table shifted. Jisoo smiled stiffly, but her mind was already miles away.

"You look pissed, hyung," Jungkook said, half-laughing as he glanced at Taehyung's blank, brooding expression in the rearview mirror.
"Must be about his girl again," Jimin teased from the passenger seat, eyes glued to his phone as he scrolled through Facebook.
"Ahh, makes sense now," Jungkook nodded, deciding to keep quiet before Taehyung snapped at them again.
