Chapter 13 Why would she forgive me?

After a long day at school Theo changes back into his uniform and walked out the locker room. All day he was avoiding everyone. Mostly Rachiëlla. He was angry but mostly at himself. He should've known better than to get involved with her, yet despite everything that happened in the past, he still let himself...Damn it. He knew their friendship was doomed from the start, it's just a surprise they managed this long before finally calling it quits.

He's not in the mood for anything, he's body is still affected from going feral, he just doesn't have the mental or physical energy for it. On the bright side his body isn't so weak compare to a month ago. At least he can walk and speak properly. He still has visible dark circles under his eyes, but honestly that's the only troublesome thing about his tired body at the moment. Still he's lucky to even being alive after going feral, thus he's not complaining. Better than dying or being put down by the council. Although he would probably be better off dead. Until now there wasn't anyone that could've left him this broken. It's like the universe likes to see him getting tortured.

He was glad he was able to make it through the day without collapsing somewhere. When he came back home, he saw his parents circling around the house talking. He wondered was going on that got them rushing.

"Um, I'm home," he announced, and Seths face lit up with excitement.

"Yay, you made it back in time?" he cheers but Theo couldn't make out what he meant about that. So instead he frowned and thank god to his mother who was able to explain what was happening.

"Today is Seth's rite of passage, remember?" she reminded him, and he mentally slapped himself for forgetting. His mom gives him an understanding smile and wave at Seth.

"Sweetheart go get ready. You wouldn't want to be late to your own ceremony now do you?" Seth shakes his head and ran up the stairs, getting ready for his ceremony. The rite of passage is an ancient tradition for our kind. It's when the pups become a full fledge member of their pack and they received their pack tattoo.

"Welcome home sweetheart. How are you feeling?" she questioned, and Theo shrugged.

"Not as well as I could've been, but not as bad as you might think," he grinned weakly at his mom. Granted it wasn't nowhere near enough to be reassuring, but then again, he wasn't feeling like hell as he did a month ago, so it's all good all the same he supposes.

"I take it you're feeling better since you're in the mood not to give me a straight answer," she scowls and Theo chuckles lowly. In all honesty Carla is relieved. Compare to a month ago, this is a big improvement to his health. Granted he's still limited to do certain things, but at least he's on the right track back to full health.

"I'm fine mom, or rather I'm better than before," he reassures her with a smile and her tense posture eventually relaxed.

"That's an answer I can live with."

The car ride towards their destination took forever. The car bumped gently with each obstacle on the road, while the roaring engine vibrated the car like a soothing massage chair, lulling Theo's weaken form to sleep throughout the car ride. There was soft muffled sound of people chattering and disoriented images as his eyes slowly adjusted to his surroundings. Although he wasn't stirred awake because of the endless chatters. He was awakened by the foul stench of anxiety radiating from his younger brother.

"Hey, what's wrong?!" Theo asked.

He was anxious, so anxious that he was biting his nails. Usually he doesn't bite his nails. Instead he would either act rather restless, or when he's really worried over something, he paces the room. But instead he's biting his nails to the point he needs to extend his claws just to bite on them, if he were to run out of fingernails. When he heard Theo's question he almost yelped in his seat.
