A week went by and everything was normal? Well, to Taehyung everything was back to normal. With Yoongi behind held by Jungkook and Seokjin, he was basically free to do whatever he wanted now? Though what did he choose? Going back to work. As much as Taehyung was excited to finally be 'free' from the vampires, he really missed working. He did go to school for this job so he sure as hell wasn't going to miss anymore days. Although Jungkook didn't go back due to having to help Yoongi but still, work was amazing for Taehyung.
For Jungkook on the other hand he still had a lot on his plate. The hunters, Yoongi, Taehyung... yeah, it was a lot for Jungkook not gonna lie but he made it work somehow. First being the hunters. The two hunters who told Jungkook to kill Yoongi made an appearance and not going to lie, Jungkook held a hatred towards the hunters because if they didn't attack them that night then Hoseok wouldn't have dead. Maybe in the future sure but at least he would have still had Hoseok. So Jungkook lied and told them that they killed Yoongi just to get them off their backs.
Jungkook lost Hoseok already and he was sure as hell not going to lose Namjoon or anyone for that matter and so he lied and had the hunters leave with a promise that he wouldn't start a war, obviously. Though if he wasn't able to contain Yoongi then the hunters would come to know and come for Jungkook and everyone around him so he had to make sure Yoongi really wanted to live free without the killing and all that. Yoongi didn't make it easy though. As much as he was hurting, he hated that he was being caged up and held hostage basically.
It was the only safe option though. Yoongi was fast, as fast as Jungkook but if Jungkook looked away for one second and Yoongi was gone? That would be it. So they took precautions with Yoongi and Yoongi didn't like that. Here they are now, Yoongi at the corner of his cell looking at the wall he's been staring at for hours now while Jungkook stared at Yoongi who didn't pay any attention to Jungkook. "I can help you Yoongi but-" Jungkook stopped when Yoongi looked at Jungkook with burning eyes. "Sorry. I'm just having a hard time accepting that the guy who killed me decades ago is willing to help me. After all, he did put me through literal hell."
Looking away, Yoongi kicked at the cell and Jungkook sucked in a sharp breath. Was he this bad with Hoseok? Hell- he was worse wasn't he? Kicking down doors and shit. How did Hoseok deal with him honestly. "I get it. I do and I know I put you through hell, that's my fault. I treated you and many others like an experiment. You can hate me but that doesn't stop the fact that you need help." Jungkook tried to console Yoongi in a way but Yoongi just wouldn't listen? Or he was but he chose not to say anything.
Sighing, Jungkook sat in front of the cell. "You killed hundreds of people, innocent people. You tortured them, heard there screams, the cries. Even probably heard some of their life stories just before you killed them, right?" Jungkook reminded Yoongi of what happened over the past years and that got on Yoongi's nerves. "You left body after body without a care or without a thought of who they were, what kind of person they were or who loved them. You just cared about you and your need to kill." Jungkook finished and that's when Yoongi was in front of Jungkook, holding at his collar with red eyes.
Though Jungkook didn't do anything but stare at Yoongi. "Good. You're angry at me so that means you know how to feel. That's a good start. Let yourself feel those emotions." Jungkook told Yoongi who only gripped onto Jungkook's shirt tighter. "These things I'm telling you, I know. I killed more people than you have Yoongi. I've heard all the screams, the cries, the stories. I left body after body without a care. Without a thought of who these people could be or who they were." And that's when Yoongi's hold loosened.
"I... I know Yoongi. I know what it feels like to hear those screams and cries over and over again even when you don't think you care. They haunt you and I want to help you overcome that. You don't want to feel because when you do, the memories come back don't they? and it feels like they are consuming you but you have to remind yourself that it wasn't you. The real you who wouldn't ever think about doing that. That's the monster inside of you, the monster who depends on revenge and blood. That's not you, it never was but along the way it just... you became someone you never thought you could be."
What Jungkook was saying started to get through to Yoongi. They went through the same thing and Jungkook just knew? Someone knew what Yoongi was feeling and honestly that scared Yoongi knowing that someone did but it was the one who changed him that felt that way. Letting go of Jungkook, Yoongi held onto the bars instead. "... I never wanted to kill all those people. I just... I'm lost. I'm so fucking lost I can't comprehend what to feel, what to do. How to live." Yoongi whispered out and Jungkook nodded as he smiled a bit knowing Yoongi was opening up to him at least a little bit.
"And I can help with that if you let me." Jungkook looked at Yoongi who slowly slid back down onto the floor and looked at the wall. "And if you can't?" Yoongi asked knowing damn well that he was too lost to be helped. It was just... so hard to accept those feelings of what he did. He didn't want to feel all the guilt. There was so much that he did and he just couldn't. Though little by little he started to feel and the more he felt, the more he felt like his humanity was coming back to him. Was he scared? Like hell but... maybe this was what he needed.
"They're making progress," Seokjin suddenly spoke up as he was feeling up his own body while Namjoon sat near the window. "Yeah," The boy said with a saddened voice though that's all Namjoon sounded like whenever he talked. "Any progress with you?" Namjoon asked after shaking off his feeling as he turned to Seokjin who stopped feeling his arm up. "No. I mean, maybe? I'm not sure. Trying to find a chip in my own body is quite hard. Yoongi injected me how many times? I must have at least five chips in me right now." Seokjin grunted.
Namjoon looked at Seokjin for quite some time before he got up and grabbed a coin. "Try dragging this over your skin. If the chips are magnetic then the coin should stick to you." Namjoon shrugged at his idea. Although Seokjin thought that was insane, he tried it anyway as he walked out of the room. As for Namjoon, he sat on the bed and ran his fingers through his hair. Not sure what to do anymore since he'd usually be hanging with Hoseok but now he was just, alone?
Namjoon missed Hoseok a lot, more than a lot actually but he didn't know how to not miss Hoseok. So he just stayed in the same room and remembered the memories. Over and over again Namjoon would just think and miss Hoseok. It was a never ending cycle but the cycle came to an end the moment Namjoon heard his phone ringing and saw Jimin's name pop up. At first Namjoon didn't want to answer and let it ring a few times but the phone just kept going and so Namjoon picked up the phone. "Joonie! God- okay, so you're not dead," Jimin breathed out.
Oh if only Jimin knew. "... Mm not exactly." Namjoon smiled a bit. Hearing Jimin yell out for his brother, Namjoon removed the phone from his ear just to smile at Jimin sounding frustrated. "Jihyun again?" Namjoon questioned and Jimin whined across the phone, "He's going on a basketball trip this week followed by a class trip so he's scrambling to find everything he needs last freaking minute!" Jimin yelled the few last words for Jihyun to hear. A chuckle came from Namjoon.
"... Well, I could come help him if you need?" Namjoon suggested although he wasn't in the mood. Though if it meant seeing Jimin then maybe it wouldn't be so bad to finally leave his room. "Would you? I... I just wanted to call to check up on you since you haven't been you know.. coming around but I miss you and if you coming to help Jihyun means I get to see you then, please come help." Jimin said all in one breath and this time Namjoon couldn't help but laugh at the adorable boy. "I'll be right there." Namjoon hummed and before Jimin could hang up, Namjoon stopped him. "Hm?" Jimin hummed, "I've missed you too." Is all Namjoon wanted to say but even that made Jimin's heart melt.
Finally breaking out of his depressive state, Namjoon got up from the bed and decided to clean himself up before he would see Jimin. Being quite excited to finally see Jimin. Now that he was thinking it over, Jimin did make him happy huh? Who knew. Though Namjoon was so happy to have someone be there for him besides Seokjin and Jungkook.
