Hope POV

     I'm woken up by a loud crash. My eyes flash open and I sit up, but what I see is unexpected. Penelope is leaning down picking up shards of the bowl that she had dropped. There's food all over the floor and shattered pieces of dishes. I look over at Josie whose hair is sticking up at odd angles and she's rubbing her eyes. "Penelope, what happened? Are you okay?" Penelope looks up at the sound of my voice. "Shit. Well I wanted to surprise both of you with breakfast but my foot caught on my other foot and I tripped. The tray tipped over and everything fell. Sorry." She looks down.

   I smile and get up and walk towards her. I lift her head up and kiss her. She leans into it but pulls away after a moment. "Ew. You didn't brush your teeth yet." I hum in response and I snicker at her reaction. I help her pick things up with my vampire speed so we finish in about 5 seconds. I throw everything away and sit back on the bed with Penelope and Josie. "So, do you want to talk about last night?" Josie's voice is soft. "I just had a nightmare about Greta. It's nothing." They both look at me with concern but they don't push. "Well, I guess we should go to the cafeteria since someone spilled our breakfast." Penelope smacks my arm gently. "It was an accident." "Sure." 

   We all get ready and head out the door. Josie's wearing the same thing she just brushed her teeth and hair. Penelope's wearing a skirt with a white blouse and I'm wearing black jeans with a green shirt and a leather jacket. Once we get to the cafeteria we meet up with the gang. We sit down and right from the start I see Lizzie staring at Josie whose trying hard to ignore her. I make sure Lizzie is watching and then I pull Jo into a kiss. She melts into it and I hear Lizzie gag. I pull away and smile at her flashing my teeth. 

  We start eating when the doors to the cafeteria open and Diego, Wendy, and Jade are standing in the doorway.  The room goes silent and everyone stares at them. They walk over to the food and start getting some. The room slowly goes back to normal and I notice that they're looking around the room for somewhere to sit. I see Josie perk up and I hope she's not going to do what I think she's going to do. She waves her arms and motions for them to come to sit with us. I sigh, great. I see Penelope roll her eyes and I intertwine our hands together. Once the trio gets to our table the gang stops talking. 

   Jade sits next to Josie which makes my blood boil and Wendy sits next to Kaleb. Diego sits next to Raf and they look at each other awkwardly. Mg smiles and starts to introduce everyone. Eventually, we start talking and it becomes less awkward but Penelope and I glare at Jade throughout breakfast, especially when I see her hand on Josie's thigh. "Calm down Hope." I feel Penelope's warm breath on my ear as she talks. I decide to turn away but not before I see Jade's smug smile. I feel a wave of burning anger rising and I get up and leave before I do something I'll regret. I get to my room and decide to do some homework to distract myself.

    So I just sit in my room doing my homework when I hear the door open. I turn around to see Penelope smiling at me. "Hi, babe, how are you?" She asked. "I'm fine, just doing homework to distract myself from clawing that bitch Jade's face off." I hear Penelope laugh and she wrapped her arms around me. She places a gentle kiss on my head. "I know you said you were fine, but I know you're lying Hope." "I'm really fine. My head hurts and I'm a little dizzy, but I'm probably just dehydrated." She chuckles. "I can get a glass of water if that'll help." I smile at her thoughtfulness. "A glass of water sounds nice." "Okay, I'll be right back." She leaves and I hear the door close.
