Chapter37:Cheering You On

~Y/N's POV~
Our first game was against Nekoma Girls. The boys had their first game earlier today, they went against Mujinazaka High, they won eventually but it was now time for us Inarizaki Girls to play.

The starting line up consisted with me, Rei, Cho, Kozue, Hana, Suzuki and our Libero Koemi on the sidelines waiting to be rotated in. Nekoma Girls were quite similar to Kozue's and Hana's playing style, they were all about defense.

We were gonna serve first, I got the ball and as I walked to the back of the court I heard the crowd yell "GO L/N!" They chorused and this made me look at them and smile, I got to position, it was silent for a second, the whistle blew, I threw the ball up and ran, a jump serve, the ball shot through the air and onto Nekoma's back court, it bounced off, we earned the first point.

I got two more service aces in before Nekoma girls managed to get the ball to accidentally fall into our court to which Suzuki saved while Rei setted and Hana spiked it down to the line, a insane line shot....

Inarizaki-Nekoma

First set goes to us. We got a five minute break, Our manager, Naoko Reiko, 2nd year, gave me a bottle, We switched out a couple players.

Yuko switched with Cho, Azumi switched with Suzuki, Natsuko switched with Me and Yumeko switched with Rei while Koemi and Hana stayed on court with them.

They won the game with a 2 point victory. Hana switched in with Kozue. 3rd Set wasn't looking to good so we sent Machi in to shake things up, she switched in with Azumi, She got 2 service aces. Nekoma Girls ended up winning 3rd set with a 3 point gap....

I seriously didn't want to play a 5th set....

"You can do it Inarizaki!" I heard a familiar voice cheer in the crowd, I look up to see Atsumu with the other VB boys, they waved at us "They're counting on us Girls!" Suzuki cheered and I just chuckled, Reiko braided my hair while I was on the bench. I went in 4th set.

"I have no intentions of playing a fifth set..." I said as my teammates got into their positions. I was on court with Suzuki, Rei, Natsuko, Yuko and Kozue.

"Y/N! I'll be sure to cheer for you!" Are the words that Atsumu said before I went on court earlier "Don't go crazy on the stands..." was my response as I patted his head before I walked in the court, he really cheered for us...

Inarizaki-Nekoma

They really had to make it so difficult....

"Go L/N!"
"Push it Inarizaki!"
"You can do it!"

Rei did a dink and it scored us a point. After that an intense really went on.... I was getting fed up, I ran to save the ball and tumbled over to the barriers, Natsuko connected the save as I got up, running full speed back to court.

"GO Y/N!"
"WIN IT INARIZAKI!"
"SPIKE IT NUMBER 02!"
"ONE MORE TIME INARIZAKI!"
"YOU CAN DO IT!"

The crowd became a swirl of blurry sounds as I jumped up while calling at Rei, she quickly set the ball towards me and I slam it down right in the middle of Nekoma's court. Final point is ours. I land on the ground, panting and sweaty.

"Y/N!" My team chorused as I fell to the ground "Good Game..." I said as they huddled up on me "You were literally so fast!" Hana exclaimed and I just chuckled, we earned our space in the next round.

We thanked the crowd and I could see The Boys jumping around with pure joy. We went to line up and shake the Nekoma Girl's hands.

I shook the hand of their Spiker, she was shaking.... I patted her shoulder and gave her a soft smile "You did great..." I said and I saw a tear escape her eye "That's a lot coming from you..." She mumbled "You played, had fun and got worked up... Failures are important too..." I said while winking at her and let go of her hand and walking away.

"Let's pack up Girls!" Suzuki said and we gathered our things. We walked out the court and into the halls, I was immediately greeted by a hug from the one and only Atsumu, he spun me around and as he put me down, Osamu hugged me too "We were all cheering but Atsumu's loud ass didn't make it sound like we were...." Suna said and I just giggled "I heard you guys perfectly.... I even heard Shinsuke's worried voice when I ran into the barrier...." I said and I could see Kita's face turn red.

"I'll go get freshened up...." I said and walked away from them. I went to take a quick shower in the locker room. I wore the school's P.E. Uniform, I brush out my hair and walked out of the locker area.

I was gonna go to the infirmary, I saw that I had a little scratch on my thigh and a couple bruises around my body...

I went into the infirmary and got patched up. As I walked back to the locker room, I was suddenly shoved into a cramped room with someone, the hallways were pretty busy but that meant that I'd be stuck in here for awhile....

"Oh come on.... I haven't even eaten lunch yet..." I whined to myself in the darkness "Y/N?" A familiar voice said and I recognized it "Suna!?" I said "Oh so I'm not stuck in here with a stranger!" He exclaimed "Be grateful." I joked "I am." He said, I tried to stand up straight but I slipped "Are you alright!? Don't move too much!" He exclaimed "Sorry..." I said, he tried assisting me up but he accidentally held my bruised arm "Ah!" I said while flinching and hitting my head on the wall "Are you okay?" He asked "I'm fine.... I got a few bruises cuz of the game..." I explained.

He shifted around abit until a stick fell onto my neck and shoulder "Suna!" I exclaimed and he sheepishly laughed "Sorry..." He apologized while snickering "Do you have your phone with you?" I asked him and he pulled out his phone "Text someone to get us out of here!" I said and he nodded.

The phone screen lighting up his face, he looked adorable tapping away on his phone looking like a confused cat....

"Hey Y/N..." He called out and I just hummed "We'll always cheer for you..." He said and I hugged him "Thank You!" I said and the closet door slid open making us fall out, Suna cushioned my fall and we just laughed at each other, the person who opened the door was Rei.

After that, we stayed in our rooms, We all had some rest since it has been a very tiring day.....
