Chapter45:Leiko

~Third Person POV~
Exams were about to go underway and Y/N was reviewing her notes, Leiko was reviewing profusely on her desk. The boys did as they were told and placed the device they got in the paper in Y/N's locker, as expected, it was still piled with gifts.

The bell rang and the teachers were slightly running late so they continued on their revising, Mai-Sensei came in and listed out the exams in order on the board as we got our papers, an hour for each subject, there were 12 subjects in total so tomorrow is also second day of exams. She started the timer and we started answering our papers. Advanced Classes are brain racking...

We finished and survived morning exams, The lunch bell rang and Leiko wasn't moving an inch in her seat, did she forget her food? The boys came and I walked over to her, I gestured her to follow along, she reluctantly got up and followed us, they helped me clear out my locker and put it in the car. Leiko was surprisingly okay, she was about to leave when I grabbed her arm and we headed to the gym along with the VB Teams.

There were a lot of food and we shared it throughout the team, Leiko sat beside me as we made a little (big) circle on the gym floor, we shared our food and since Leiko wasn't eating properly I kept putting food on her plate. We were all chatting and she was really quiet. "Why?" She lowly asked and the people near her that heard it looked at her making everyone notice she said something "Why are you all being so kind to me after what my family did to you? After what I DID to you?" She whimpered while crying, o rolled my eyes and scoffed "Look, if your gonna keep on focusing on shallow things- you'll just loose yourself. Look at you, your slowly loosing it." I said while placing another onigiri on her plate "L/N. I treated you poorly! I thought you were weak and tried to target you yet your making sure I'm actually surviving!" She exclaimed while looking at me with desperate eyes and tears running down her cheeks.

In all honesty, this girl is funny. I am weak but I made sure I won't easily fall and break, all of us are weak but we're always here for each other, what's a kingdom without the people that help each other to stay afloat in this toxic world?

I couldn't help but laugh slightly and the team joined in, she stopped whining at our reactions "Y/N is Weak! She just has amazing people around her!" The twins cackled "Were not as bad as you think we are, we just look out for each other and that's what makes us the treasure of this school." Cho said "Now stop babbling nonsense and eat up, you'll need the energy for the exams." I said while picking up her chopsticks and shoving some food in her mouth "Hey! I wanted Y/N to feed me too! Your lucky Mamaru!" Rei whined childishly while some of the team members agreed "Alright, cut it out! Let's eat and get some reviewing in before exams so none of us fails!" I said while continuing to eat "HAI!" They all chorused and I even heard a faint voice of agreement from Leiko.

"Speaking of exams, let's all review together!" Suzuki suggested "That's a great idea! The juniors can ask the seniors for help too!" Ginjima suggested "Great, we're in too." I simply said "We?" Rintarou asked "Me and Leiko. Got a problem with it?" I asked "No, No, it's alright if you don't want me there! I'll just-" "MORE PEOPLE!" Hana exclaimed excitedly "Yes! Then we can all stay in that reserved area that soon-to-be Captain Y/N has!" Kozue cheered and I chuckled "Yup, that area is peaceful and will get us some great study time." Shinsuke said and I just hummed in response "I guess this will be our last time doing the tradition..." Cho sighed "You do this planning every year?" Leiko asked "Yeah, everytime there's exams or if we need to study, Y/N owns a place that's perfect for it!" Atsumu cheered "It's gonna be our fourth time!" The first years excitedly squealed "And who said the third years can't go there even if their not here in Inarizaki? You can always visit the place!" I said and they just chuckled.

"They all sound so happy." Leiko mumbled "Aren't you?" Machi asked "Yeah, you had friends before, weren't you happy before?" Yumeko continued "My family paid them to stick with me." Leiko confessed "Sounds stupid. At least your not with them anymore." Riseki said and some hummed in agreement, we finished lunch and reviewed for the afternoon exams.

We were walking back to class since there was only 10 minutes left of Lunch. Leiko was on the brink of loosing it, she was almost crying, she was trembling and I was getting annoyed. 'Is she fucking serious right now?' I thought to myself as I caught up to her by the lockers, Atsumu tripped her which caused her to change her attention to something else, Shinsuke caught the reviewer while Osamu didn't let her fall to the floor and I'm pretty sure Rintarou got all of that in his phone, I walk over to her "Would you calm down? The afternoon tests are Japanese Literature and a practical test." I said while patting both her shoulders, I grab my handkerchief from her pocket and wipe away her tears. She was trembling badly, I sighed and squeezed her shoulders "Don't put too much pressure on your self or else your mind is gonna go blank." I said while looking at her straight in the eye.

"Breathe you Dumbass!" I exclaimed as I notice her holding her breath, she let out the breath she's been holding in "I-uh-Won't let you down!" She said, I got the reviewer back from Shinsuke before he headed up the stairs to his class, I passed it to her and we all went back to reviewing. She seemed much more calmer but then as I walked into the classroom with Leiko and Rei, everyone was tensed. I put on a smile as Rei pushed my IV "Ganbare Min'na! Your all gonna do great!" I exclaimed and the tensed atmosphere eased down "Hai!" They chorused and I head back to my seat and so did Rei and Leiko.

Afternoon Exams went by, we finished quite fast, Leiko seemed more calm and collected. As the final bell rang, we all went our separate ways and we all decided to meet back here in an hour, we were gonna spend the night together at the place. As me and the boys were exiting the school, I saw Leiko being dragged by her brother, I face palmed and kicked up a decent sized rock onto my foot, I kicked it high and as it fell, I got the timing right and I kicked the rock right onto the back of his head, he let go of Leiko and as she saw me she ran and hid behind me. "Long time no see Nobu." I greeted him and he turned to me "L/N!?" He exclaimed "The one and only. What? Did you think I was dead?" I mocked him while tilting my head to the side with a grin on my face "What do you think your doing with my sister!?" He exclaimed "Saving her from your dumbass. Ciao!~" I said while turning back and pulling Leiko by the arm and walking away with her.

The boys glared at him and his men before following me and Leiko to the car. She sat in the backseat while I drove. We went to the boy's houses first and got them clothes for tonight and tomorrow, we went down to my house and as I walked in, Eris and Ayumi greeted me "Mommy's home!" "Mahmamh!" Eris exclaimed as Ayumi babbled while raising her hands up in the air, Eris gave me a hug and I kissed her forehead "Did you behave well?" I asked and she nodded happily, Ayumi happily babbled as the boys made faces at her "And how about you, little darling?" I say while lifting Ayumi up and she squealed, I put her down in Shinsuke's arms "Sashi! We're home!" I exclaimed and Hisashi slid down the stairs with little braids. "We'll be reviewing at the Sanctuary so we'll be back tomorrow night." I said and he nodded.

"Come on Leiko." I said as I went up the stairs, she was quiet and just followed me up to my room. We went in and picked out some clothes. "How did you know?" She asked, she must be talking about me knowing that she was getting mistreated "I noticed so I ordered someone to look into my speculation." I answered "Now, I don't have anything fancy, just T-Shirts that I own and stole from the boys and a few more baggy clothes." I said "Why are you helping me?" She asked "Out of pity." I say shortly "But-" "Can it up with those useless questions, I want you to get back to your feet and be that annoying bitch that sits infront of me. Now pick a T-Shirt!" I said as I packed our stuff, she was shocked at my outburst but nonetheless cooperated with me.

We finished packing, we also got the group some food, Suzuki was driving the other car while I drove mine to the sanctuary. We arrived minutes later.
