Chapter40:Drugged

~Y/N's POV~
The boys have been showering us with their support since last night, we're currently stretching and getting ready for the Finals while they get seated at the bleachers.

They were holding a lot of things, food, banners and other noise making objects. I'll be going in for 2nd quarter. That was the plan.

We started doing a couple drills at the side, practicing with the Volleyballs and such. I've already been feeling a little off since this morning when I spoke with Mari.

She pulled me aside and declared everything she wanted to declare, including a war between us, I could care less about that tho my water tasted different ever since.

The game started, The boys and a lot of people were supporting us. The first set quarter were taken by Niiyama but who cares. I realized something. Mari sucked at blocking and going for digs.

We huddled up for a minute before we resumed the game. We needed to shake them up, target was set on everyone. Another thing I realized, Mari put something in my water, it must've happened when she tried to corner me and my water bottle was poking out my bag, she distracted me so she could slip something in my water, this was speculation, YES, but also accusation with evidence.

She hasn't thrown away the packet that she used the store the substance, I saw it, she placed it in her bag, that bag that was beside their manager, HER BAG.

Things went smoothly. We took back second set. The next, we switched up a bit, two people were taking on one target so we had to do double targets. Third Set was ours. Whatever Mari placed in my drink, it was becoming stronger and was taking effect, she wasn't expecting me to be holding up this long. She looked so confident when I didn't appear in the first set but she immediately changed when I stepped in the court at the second set.

My body felt too light, everything was slightly spinning and wanting me to go spiral. I can't. Not right now. The fourth set ended with Their wing spiker slamming the ball down at a distance I could've saved if I weren't so drugged.

It did hit my leg by luck, I tried to not faint right now and when I fell, I stretched my leg and the ball was still in play and I was on the floor flabbergasted with the coincidence, I look up and met raging eyes from Mari, I gather myself, if we win this set, it's over for them.

All we needed right now was one point. I bit my lip until it bled and brought me back to my senses. I licked off the blood and got to my feet. Mari looked absolutely petrified. There was a intense volley that lasted for a minute or so. My team was keeping a cool head while the other fell into utter chaos.

When the ball was back into our side, I looked at Cho and she set it for me, as everyone on the opposing team got into chaos, I took note of their position, the back line was clear and was the perfect spot to knock over  Mari's bag.

I slammed it down, I could still feel the drug rushing through my body but I stayed sane and awake, the ball hit the line and bag perfectly. We won and the second I got back to the ground, I felt the effect of whatever that substance is.

I fell on my knees, the sweat dripping down, my breath hitched, it felt suffocating, I bet she didn't even properly research the drug component and proper usage. I felt closed off, like in a box, the whistle blew and I snapped.

I was going to spiral... Everything was spinning... my body felt like it was gonna tear into two, whatever that was, it was a strong substance. I look up to meet Mari's fearful eyes.

Once again, I tried to pull myself together, I forced myself to thank the crowd and shake the opponent's hands. I stopped at Mari's hand and pulled her close "You drugged me, didn't you." I said in a low hushed voice, her face said it all "Admit it." I said as I tightened my grip on her hand "I did..." She mumbled "Fuck you." I said and walked away, my body was slowly giving up.

The awarding ceremony came and went, I managed to get through it, the ending speech was in play when I felt I was in my limit. Mari was staring the whole time, Rei even told me that I looked pale, I just shrugged it off. I was able to inform Shinsuke before I got dragged away, he's aware.

My half-lidded eyes stared into Mari's eyes, I mouthed "Desperate Bitch" at her before I felt like falling and closed my eyes as I began to get tired and everything went black. I collapsed.

~Rei's POV~
Y/N collapsed, she's been acting off the whole day, it started a commotion, Mari looked terrified, rumors said that she was scared of things like this but those were just rumors. I know for a fact that she had something to do with Y/N's condition.

I quickly passed her on to the first guy that came to her rescue that happened to be Shinsuke-San, he rushed out the place with the others while I went straight to Mari who was just on the other side of the room. Yuko-Senpai knew what I was gonna do, Hana and Yumeko tried to stop me but Koemi and Kozue had the same mind set and we broke out of their grasps and ignored their protests.

I shoved past everyone that was in my way and as soon as Mari was in reach, I punched her hard in the middle of her nose, I'm pretty sure I broke her nose, making her stagger, Koemi slapped her from right, her head turned to the left from the impact but Kozue slapped her and her face turned right in a matter of seconds.

"If our Princess has to get stuck in the IV for more than 30 minutes, I'll be sure that you'll receive more than a punch and a slap." I spat bitterly at her, we walked away from her and caught up to the rest of the team. I'm pretty sure that everyone has caught on the issue that Mari caused this and harmed Y/N. She looked guilty as hell.

~Shinsuke's POV~
The ambulance arrived and the four of us went in to accompany her, she was totally unstable. She said she was drugged and if anything happened to her, I need to execute orders for the time being, I informed the others about it and they were furious.

We arrived at the hospital in a matter of seconds, she was rushed into the Emergency Room. We paced in the hall, I've never felt so agitated, I couldn't bare the thought of having Y/N in a dangerous state.

This doesn't only affect us but also everyone, She was one of the reasons that some criminals were in hiding, if something happens to her, I bet they'll come up and cause trouble. Whoever drugged her was foolish.

Y/N is someone special to me. I cannot loose her. My dearest treasure...

I hope they get caught soon. I will never let them off for harming Y/N. We received a message, it was from some of Atsumu's fans that were in the gym earlier. It was a video of the girls hitting Mari Hiromi, we immediately understood that she was behind Y/N's collapsed state.

Someone from Niiyama Girls even admitted that they saw the packet she used to store the substance, It fell out when Y/N spiked the last point. I won't act rashly, I'll prioritize Y/N before anything else.
