"You just need to try and focus Amara," said George, putting his body against hers then placing his hand on top of hers which was holding a wand. Scarlett nodded, fluttered her eyes closed and tried her best to think of the happiest memory she could find.George and Scarlett sitting at the pub table talking about their day while drinking cold butterbeers.
"Expecto Patronum!"
Nope.
Being with her parents at the beach when she was younger. Running away from her father who was chasing her in the sand as the sun beams down at them.
"Expecto Patronum!"
Not working either.
"I'm never going to be able to do it." Scarlett frowned, opening her eyes to see no Patronus dance out of her wand.
Maybe she just doesn't have the memory yet?
They started what they call "Dumbledore's Army" around two weeks ago. Meeting up in the Room of Requirement after dark or during weekends, learning various spells that could defend them against the Dark Arts. Harry was a great teacher even though he barely knew what he was doing some of the time.
"You'll get it one day, love" George whispered into Scarlett's ear causing her to blush. A smile lit up on her face as he walked off to go find Fred.
Scarlett saw Luna and Nadia practice spells on each other as Celeste cast spells at one of the Patil twins. Everyone was occupied with the art of defense while she was occupied with the redheaded twin not so far from her. As George would cast a spell towards Fred and he would get hit with it, George would look back to see if Scarlett was watching. Which she was.
"Ok, everyone! We will meet at eight on Thursday to practice more!" Harry shouted before everyone left the Room of Requirement as swiftly as they could hoping they wouldn't get caught.
As Scarlett was walking quickly to her dorm she heard heavy footsteps trail behind her. When she looked behind she saw Draco roaming through the empty corridor. "Caught you, Amara," Draco laughed making his way up to Scarlett. She forgot he was a Prefect this year. A heavy sigh left her lips and she turned around to face him.
"What are you doing, past curfew, walking down an empty corridor?" he smirked, almost proud of himself catching her this late. "Bag still in hand, robes still on. Last time I remembered, classes don't start until twelve hours from now, so whatever excuse you planned on using failed."
Draco looked down at her, the smirk still on his face, and arm crossed across his chest. "I know you're a part of Dumbledore's little army, Amara. There's no way you could keep that from me."
Scarlett stood there looking for some defense she could use against him but she knew nothing would work. "I never even mentioned it to you! So how would you know?"
"I have caught many, many students coming from the exact way you were over the course of these last two weeks, especially Ravenclaws. I thought Ravenclaws were wiser than that?" Scarlett was annoyed with Draco's presence. She just wants to go to her dorm and lay down. Juggling classes and Dumbledore's Army was tiring. "Sod off, Malfoy"
"Now why would I do that when I could just take house points from you?" he snickered. "I mean I have caught at least five of you, so ten points per student, so that makes around fifty points taken from Ravenclaw,"
He watched her face go from a smirky one to an 'I'm about to hit you' one. "I'll best be on my way now,"
"Not so fast," he moved in front of her, blocking her path.
