Syd: So how did the meeting go earlier?
Max: (drinks milk in a carton) Cool. The client digs it so we handed it over to the Sales Department to finally close the deal.
Syd: Nice.
Max: Hey thanks for dropping by our office to get me. How did you know I'm not bringing my car?
Syd: Oh Taylor texted me a while ago. He asked if I could give you a ride on the way home. (unlocks car)
Max: Yeah I had to rush back home to hand him the car because he has this urgent meeting. (puts stuff in the backseat) He just dropped me here on the way. (closes door)
---And then they were both inside.
Max: (putting on the seat belt) Oh by the way, we saw your dad in the-
---Syd's phone rings.
Syd: Hold on a sec. My dad's assistant is calling. Oh shoot, I forgot I was supposed to meet him a while ago! Shit. (exhales sharply)(answers call) Hey. Yeah? Yeah I'm so sorry, I totally forgot about it. Okay sure. Okay? Yeah where is he right now? I'll just swing by. (stunned) He's where??? Why- (sighs) okay, cool. Yeah I'm on my way. (shuts phone and puts seatbelt on)
Max: Everything okay?
Syd: Yeah. He rescheduled our meeting "at our loft".
Max: Oh, that's what I'm telling you earlier. Taylor and I saw him walk in our building a while ago.
Syd: God. Like how long is that 'while'?
Max: 2? 3 hours?
Syd: Shit. (Drives) Who do you say is left in our apartment again? I thought everybody's out today?
Max: Oh, Taylor said Rocky went home after lunch. Most probably she's the one who let your dad in.
Syd: Rocky? Are you serious??? (steps in the accelerator)
Max: Whoa! Easy man. What's the big deal? It's a good thing that Rocky's there, right?
---On their way home.
Syd: Did you already forget how my dad hates loud, hyper and bubbly people? Now he's with one.
Max: Oh yeah, right. I clearly remember his face when I went all hyped during our presentation. He didn't look pleased.
Syd: I just hope Rocky acted normal today.
Max: (chuckles) But that's her "normal", bro.
---They rushed back home. When they stepped out of the elevator.
Syd: I just wish my dad was able to stand Rocky. (gets keys from his bag) Why would he even choose to meet me here? And why do I smell my mom's taco recipe from here? (unlocks door)
Max: Chill out man, maybe Rocky just-
---They stepped in and saw Rocky and Syd's dad in the living room, both playing some VR. The two were shocked.
Rocky: Mr. Kane, you're killing this game! (laughs)
---Suddenly, Syd's mom comes out of the kitchen, bringing some tacos.
Annie: Oh, you're home. (puts tacos on the nook) How are you son? (hugs him) God, I missed you!
---Syd is still in shock. He has never seen his dad having so much fun in a very long time. He and his older brother have always been very obedient and responsible sons to their strict dad while they're growing up.
