My eyes widened as I noticed that the room was covered in all sorts of disgusting substances, and there were spider webs, pieces of toilet paper and even some egg yolk all over the room, including on the beds. An alarm then went off, which caused me to jump up in terror.
I nervously looked around the room, being careful to not get caught up in some booby trap that was possibly placed in the room. "Cassie... I'm scared!! WHAT IS HAPPENING?!" I yelled, with terror and shakiness in my voice.
I was gasping for air while I turned to look to my friend to my left. Cassie had her eyes closed tight and her ears covered with her hands. "Tess, please tell me what's happening!" She yelled as she opened her eyes and took a step to the left.
She shrieked as she looked down at her shoes. They were covered in slime. "Ew! My feet... UGH!" I didn't know what to say or do when she looked over at me with fear in her eyes. She looked up and starting telling me: "Tess..."
I looked up at the ceiling as quickly as my eyes could stand. I saw a gigantic bucket right over my head, and it was about to tip over.
Before I had a chance to do anything, i closed my eyes as the freezing cold water landed on my head, getting my hair soaked, and dripping down my shirt and pants. I stood still until there was no more water in the bucket.
When I opened my eyes and realized what had just happened, I screamed at the top of my lungs.
The door swung open and I turned around to see who it was. One of the teachers from the school.
"What is going on-- Oh my gosh." She said, her eyes widening in shock and fear. "Someone booby trapped our room!" Cassie yelled. "Yeah!" I added.
"I am getting the janitor!" The teacher declared as she stormed out of the room. I turned around, still scared to death as all of a sudden, the lights went out.
Having good night vision, I saw that there were two people standing in our room, seemingly laughing their heads off. I growled as I pointed at them.
"HEY! WHO ARE YOU TWO?" I yelled, while Cassie began to notice that there were other people in the room.
"I can't make out their faces," Cassie said. "Neither can I," I replied.
They ran towards the door, trying to make their way out. I ran over and blocked the door. I still couldn't make out what they looked like. I tried ripping their hoodies off, but that resulting in me getting two punches in the chest. I kneeled down and groaned in pain.
One of them managed to escape, while the other didn't quite get there before I stood up again. He tried getting past me, but I wouldn't budge. He tried every method, until finally, I decided to just kick him in the nuts.
"OH! FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, IT BURNS!!" He cried out. I couldn't refrain myself from smiling, even though he was in pain. He deserved it!
"What the heck was that for?!" He shouted, his face red with anger and possibly embarrassment.
"You know what it was for," I shot back. "Why did you do that to our room? What is wrong with you? And where did your friend go? Don't think that you're gonna get away with this, cause you aren't!"
Before he got the chance to reply, the door all of a sudden opened. I turned around to see that the teacher and the janitor were standing at the door, frowning.
The teacher turned on the light, and then she caught sight of the boy whom I had just kicked in the balls.
"Zack." She growled.
"Mrs. Burrow." He retorted.
"I should've known it was you. Come with me this instant," She said, shortly before grabbing on to his shirt and dragging him out the door. I could see that Mrs. Burrow was trying to stay calm, even though her face was tomato red.
As Zack was being dragged, he looked me in the eyes and shouted: "THIS ISN'T OVER!" I rolled my eyes at his attempt at being overly dramatic.
After Zack and Mrs. Burrow had left the room, I realized that the janitor was still standing there. He had a dead look on his face, but as quick as two seconds after he noticed me looking at him, he came back into reality.
"Oh, sorry. Let me clean up your room." The janitor said, in a very deep voice. He clapped his hands twice, snapped his fingers four times and took a deep breath and blew into the air. All of a sudden, the room was clean.
"Whoa! Uh, thanks! How did you do that?" I asked, while I was looking around our room, stunned by what he has just did.
"Well, sweetie, if you go here, you should already know that this school is full of magic!" He chuckled.
"Oh, yeah! Sorry, I just got here today, so I don't know much yet."
"I see. Well, I guess I should be going now."
"Bye!"
As if on cue, right after the door closed, an announcement came.
"Everybody, it is now 10:00. You should certainly all be in your rooms by now. Lights are going to turn off any second now."
The lights went out, and not long after me and Cassie said 'goodnight' to each other, we both drifted into a deep sleep. I wondered what tomorrow would bring.
