There was one bed on one side of the room, and one bed on the other side.
On the left side of the rooms, the walls were painted purple and the closet was filled with tank tops, skinny jeans, dresses, sweaters, skirts and more. The two drawers had hair accessories, makeup, earrings and jewellery filled up in them. There was a simple night stand and a lamp by the side of the bed.
On the right side of the room, there was nothing but empty drawers, an empty closet, a plain bed and plain walls. That was my side, i obviously figured.
There was a girl who was laying on her bed. She looked really pretty, but also like an 80% girly girl. She had strawberry blonde hair, green eyes, a pink shade of lipgloss on, a tad of blush, and mascara on.
She was holding her iPod in her hands, and checking her Instagram. She looked over at me and smiled, putting her iPod on her bed and scanning my outfit.
She immediately looked back at my face, and said: "Hi! I'm Cassie, you?"
I replied: "Oh, i'm Tessa."
"Wow, i love that name! I've always wanted to be called Tessa, so i guess meeting someone with that name is kind of a lucky shot." She giggled at her remark, and i couldn't help but smile as well.
There was a bit of a silence, but soon enough, she started again: "Are you new here? I don't think i've seen you around before, but then again, its a huge place."
"Uh, no. I actually just got here, and it seems amazing so far!" I replied.
"Yeah, it really is. It's better then all schools i've heard of before," She giggled.
I liked this girl so far.
"Exactly! My old school sucked," i started expressively, "i would constantly get picked on, and i had, like, no good friends. I hated it, and i've always wanted to transfer, but one day, when i was--"
I froze mid sentence, realizing that i had drifted away in my own little world. I turned towards her, and she seemed attentive and listening to me.
"When you were what?" She questioned, narrowing her eyebrows.
I took a deep breath ready to talk, but no sound came out. I wondered if i should tell her that i attempted suicide. Before i even thought it through, i heard Cassie talk.
"Uh, Tessa? You attempted suicide?"
Did i say that out loud?
"How did-- how did you know?" I thought out loud, backing away because i was now scared of her capabilities.
"Hey, didn't i tell you? I'm a mind reader. That's my power." She smiled.
My natural instinct was to let out a sigh of relief, but instead, i looked at her, surprised and taken aback by what she just said.
"Oh my gosh." I nearly yelled.
"What?"
"Oh, it's just that... ever since i was little i've always wanted to be a mind reader. Could you tell me what it's like?" I said, knowing the answer to that already.
"Sure!" She beamed, as i suspected.
"Ok." I said, trying to hold back the excitement in my voice.
"Wait, before i start, what's your power?" After she said this, i realized that i forgot to tell her that i fly! She must have thought i was an idiot for not saying it when we met!
"Ok, so you can fly which is super neat, and don't worry, i don't think you are an idiot. In fact, i have a lot of positive thoughts about you, Tessa!"
