the next couple of days were the worst. they didn't realize it's was going to be longer than a days trip to fontaine. so of course, they didn't bring a tent. they both had to take shelter under trees and in caves. on the second day it began to rain. now for an experienced traveler such as y/n. this was no major set back. but for an esteemed member of the fatui harbingers, dottore had never the need to travel when it was pouring. he was constantly complaining and you had to deal with it..
"may we stop now? i'm freezing. it's not anywhere near snezhnaya freezing, but it's still uncomfortable."
you sighed "we just started moving again, are you kidding me? it's only 21:00, you can wait until we have to rest again."
"but-"
"nope i won't hear it. you can faintly see fontaine in the distance and according to the cloud pattern, the rain is going to stop soon anyways."
he scoffed "can you really tell wether it's going to stop raining by looking to the clouds?"
"....of course i can? i thought it was common knowledge"
"maybe common knowledge for an adventurer. i always relied on machines for that.."
"well if the clouds start to scatter and dissipate, then you know the rain is about to stop.."
she taught him how to tell the clouds apart the rest of the way to fontaine....
