When My World Went Cold-Chanmin

I woke up with a headache. I sat up rubbed my eyes before stretching. My mom opened the door and I looked over at her.

"Morning sweetie, you don't look so good."

"I'm fine mom, I just have a headache."

"I'll get you some medicine while you get ready."

I got up to get ready. I had been going here for a month and that night, my questions never got answered. Chan had been avoiding me, so had Felix and a few others. The only people that tried to talk to me were Jeongin, Hyunjin, and Minho.

Walking downstairs to go to school, I was stopped by my mom to give me a bottle of water and the headache medicine. I thanked her and walked out the door.

"SEUNGMIN!"

I heard Felix yell after me. I was confused cause he only talked to me if he missed homework.

"You walk too fast. Anyways, I talked to your mom and you're coming home with me today and staying the weekend" Felix told me and I nodded and he left.

*time skip to the end of school*

I was walking to the front school doors when I was suddenly grabbed from behind. I tried screaming but was pulled into a closet. I opened my eyes to see Mark standing in front of me.

"Chan isn't here to protect you now. Let's see how good you taste."

Mark's eyes suddenly turned a deep red color and he got closer and closer to my neck. I acted on instinct and kneed him in the crotch. The second thing I did was scream for help and bang on the door since it was locked.

I was grabbed and slammed into the wall. I fell to the floor and felt something wet run down my neck. Mark suddenly stopped and sniffed the air lightly.

He came closer to me and whispered, "you smell good."

I glanced over and saw what looked to be fangs in his mouth. My eyes widened and I tried screaming again but he covered my mouth. I couldn't find anything to hit him.

I felt the fangs brush over my neck. I closed my eyes and waited for the pain to come, but it never did. I opened my eyes to see a bright light and a figure picking me up. I flinched at the contact and realized I had started crying at one point.

"Chan, we need to get him to the healer. Take him and we'll deal with Mark" I heard someone say, but the voice sounded fuzzy. At this point everything sounded fuzzy and I could see black dots over my vision.

"Seungmin, you have to stay with me okay? Stay with me" I could hear Chan clear as day though. I nodded my head weakly and pressed the side of my head to his chest. I heard his heart beating rapidly, like he was terrified. It calls me down, I relaxed as I felt Chan's warmth around me. My eyes got heavier and closed, I could feel the warmth slowly fading and his heart beat stop.

Chan's pov

I heard a scream of help and banging on a door. I felt like the voice was familiar so I took off back into the school. I reached the door and could hear crying and someone struggling. I used my strength and opened the which seemed to be locked. At this time Felix, Changbin, and Minho had caught up to me.

I looked into the closet and saw Mark on top of Seungmin. I pulled Mark off instantly and saw he had his fangs out. I threw him to Changbin and went to get Seungmin. I picked him up and he flinched and I felt my heart hurt a little.

"Chan, we need to get him to the healer. You take him and we'll deal with Mark" Minho told me as he notices that Seungmin's head was bleeding. I nodded and took off out of the school.

"Seungmin, you have to stay with me okay? Stay with me" I pleaded to him. I felt him weakly nod and press his head into my chest. I ran faster once I felt him relax into my arms. I knew what was happening, I could hear his heartbeat slowly become faint.

I reached the outskirts of my home and ran straight to the healer's house. She was confused at first as she looked at my terrified eyes. I looked down and she immediately understood the situation.

"Set him down here" she instructed me as I took him into a room.

She started treating him and wrapping a bandage around his head. His chest wasn't moving and I started to panic, but I could still hear his heartbeat. Once she was done I felt Felix beside me.

"Chan, you need to take care of yourself I know being around him, especially with him bleeding, that once you realize you'll need to hunt" Felix told me as he walked over to the bed. "I'll watch him and call you when he starts waking up."

I nodded my head and walked out of the healer's house. I felt myself soon become hungry and headed towards the woods.

I was stalking a deer and ducked behind a rock as it looked in my direction. Once it turned its head back around facing forwards, I jumped on it and killed it immediately so it wouldn't feel any pain.

I took out the bottle I had on me and filled it with the deers blood. I picked up the animal and walked back to camp with it so we could have something small to contribute to our meal.

Once back at the camp, I headed to my house and took care of the deer. I went up to my room with the bottle. Once I closed the door and felt secure, I started to drink from the bottle. I heard the door open and I closed the bottle quickly and wiped my mouth.

"You need to eat, don't stop just because you think I'll be weirded out" Changbin jokes as he closes my bedroom door. I sighed in relief since it was just him.

"You seriously won't be weirded out or disgusted" I asked just to make sure.

He nodded his head and I only took sips at a time. I felt like people would be weirded out since I'm a werewolf and vampire hybrid. I'm a wolf who drinks blood. People I've met before have yelled at me for just being hungry and then giving me something that my wolf side would appreciate. Not that he did since he cares about the vampire side of me as well, not just himself.

"Mark was walked back to his group of blood suckers, and it was explained to them he attacked on mutual ground."

"That's good, I don't want him near Seungmin, or anyone to be certain."

"You seem awfully protective of him, do you think he could be your mate?"

"I don't know, I wish I could tell" I mumbled out. Being a hybrid was fine, but it left out one of the most important things to a wolf. I couldn't sense my mate. I had done all the research I could, every hybrid hasn't ever really found there mate. It was very rare, impossible even.

"Sorry for asking about it. It just seemed the way I am with Felix, so I just thought."

"It's okay Changbin. I understand why you would ask that. I really wish I could tell if he was or not."

After a moment of silence I could hear Felix's voice in my head.

"He's waking up."
