When My World Went Cold-Chanmin

Chan's pov

I focused on driving on the right side of the road. Everything happened so fast. I wasn't expecting someone to show up, especially that someone knowing Seungmin.

My attention was pulled away from my thoughts when I heard a groan from beside me. I pulled into a gas station, needing to get gas, and needing to see if Seungmin would wake up.

I got out of the car and used my card to pay outside. Shuffling was heard in the car and I looked in the window to see that Seungmin had woken up. I opened the door and asked him if he needed anything, he responded with a water.

I came back out and took the pump out of the car, then sat inside and handed Seungmin his water.

"Chan?"

"Hmm?"

"Am I a freak?"

"What do you mean Minnie?"

"Everywhere I go, something bad happens. This time it's worse since I left my mother and didn't even get a chance to help her..."

Seungmin put his head down and fiddled with his hands. I reached my arm out to put a hand under his chin.

"Seungmin, you're not a freak. It's just freak things that happen to you" I tried to reassure him.

He only nodded and put his head back down. I started the car and drove out onto the road.

"What did you dream about" I asked him unsure.

"My past...again. It was me as I grew up. One time I got called a monster because I apparently had purple eyes."

I was shocked about what he said. The car fell into silence again and we finally pulled into the driveway to my pack.

Felix came out and took Seungmin to the nurse and told me that the alpha needed to talk to me.

I knocked on his study door and walked inside. A nurse was tending to a nasty scratch on the side of his face. He waved the nurse off and I sat down in front of the desk

"I'm sorry I didn't stay and fight with you guys" I immediately started apologizing.

I rambled on until my dad stopped me, "Chan, you did the right thing, you got Seungmin out of there."

"Who was it that you fought? If I'm able to ask?"

"Before I tell you, you have to promise that you won't tell Seungmin. Not yet at least, let his mother talk to him."

I nodded my head and agreed. I watched as my dad sat down at his chair, rather than the stool the nurse brought in.

"The man that attacked tonight is someone who went insane. He was in the pack before. I banished him because he attacked Seungmin and his mother."

"What does this mean? Who is it" I asked anxiously.

"It was his father. He works for no side other than his own. He will play us against the vampires as well. Now that he is back, we need to keep a close guard, and I'm going to meet with the principle to have all of you stay home for the time being" my father explained to me.

He explained a few more things to me before telling me to go to bed. I was about to wall out of the door before he spoke up again.

"Chan, if I don't make it through this, you will have to be alpha. I know it is a vote, but I know the people will choose you. If not, challenge the person to a fight. I fear that the pack has someone inside working with him."

I nodded before walking out and closing the door. Reality set in on me as I walked to my room.

My door was open slightly and my senses heightened. I walked slowly towards the door before smelling that it was Changbin in my room. I lowered my guard and walked in.

"Everything alright up in that head of yours" he asked as I flopped onto my bed.

"Can I have my bottle?"

"Yeah, you probably need a drink after recent events" he half joked as he handed me my bottle.

"Are you okay" I asked him worriedly.

"Yeah, just got this nasty scar on my back now" he told me as he pulled up his shirt to show me the scar. It ran from his left shoulder blade, down to the middle of his back.

"Felix is gonna think that's hot."

"Or he's going to hit me."

I agreed with him and explained the situation. I swore to not tell Seungmin, and besides Changbin probably already knows anyways.

We talked some more before he had to go. I was sad, I really didn't want to be alone right now. I told him I'd walk with him to Felix's house.

"Want to see your boy toy" Changbin joked.

"Call him a boy toy again and I'll rip out your vocal cords" I threatened him.

Changbin put his hands up in mock surrender, immediately laughing afterwards.

"If you do that, then you won't have anyone to talk back to you."

"That's the point" I joked and he playfully hit my arm.

We reached Felix's house and knocked on the door. Felix answered and told me Seungmin was in the guest bedroom, and for is to not do the nasty. Hopefully only as a joke, we just met a few months ago.

"Go see your boy toy Channie" Changbin teased.

"What did I say if you called him that again?"

Felix stepped in and glared at me, "hurt him and you'll be tortured with a thousands fires" he threatened me. I knew he wasn't messing around since he loved fire so much, he was our packs pyromaniac.

I walked upstairs and knocked on the guest door. I heard a 'come in' and sat on the bed. The shower was going so he probably thought I was Felix.

The shower shut off and Seungmin called for Felix to being him his clothes. Since Felix wasn't here I brought the pants and took off my hoodie.

"You know, you'd look cuter in my hoodie" I teased him as I leaned against the doorway.

Seungmin let out a startled yell and immediately threw a bar of soap at my face.

"Oh my god I'm so sorry. I got startled and wasn't thinking and threw the first thing I felt" he apologized.

I rubbed my nose and accidentally looked down to see Seungmin in only underwear.

"You might want these" I told him as I handed him the pants.

He blushed a deep shade of red and took the pants from me. He put them on and I handed him the hoodie.

"What are you doing here Channie" he asked me curiously.

I felt stupid to why I came here. "I came here to see if you're okay" I lied and looked down.

I felt a hand under my chin and then I met his eyes.

"Why did you really come here Chan?"

"i maybe wanted to cuddle with you because i didn't want to be alone" I mumbled quietly.

"Why didn't you just say that then?"

Seungmin walked over to the side of the bed and climbed in, holding his arm for me to lay in. I climbed next to him and got under the covers.

"You're freezing Channie, but don't worry, I'll make you warm" Seungmin told me as he hugged me closer.

I felt safe. For the first time in a long time, I felt safe in someone's arms. Even if he wasn't my mate, I would still be happy just to date him. The urge to curl into his arm overtook me and I felt myself get warmer. I loved this so much, and I'm sure that I loved Seungmin so much.

Finally I drifted off to sleep peacefully, for the first time since my mom passed away.
