When My World Went Cold-Chanmin

The car stopped in front of my house and turned off. I sat in the car, waiting, I didn't know how mom would react. The passenger door opened and Chan held out his hand for me to take. I took his hand and got out of the car. We started walking towards the front door. It opened before Chan could even knock on the door.

"Seungmin sweetie, how's your head? How was your weekend" my mom bombarded me with questions.

"Hi mom, my head is okay, my weekend was great, and is it okay if Chan stay for supper" I asked her. Mom nodded her head in agreement and I pulled Chan inside.

"Is it okay if I use your bathroom" Chan asked.

"Yes, of course. It's just down the hallway to the left" my mother called from the kitchen.

I walked over to the kitchen and got the plates out to eat. I started to set the table when my mom poked my side and handed me pain reliever medicine. I was very confused and before I could ask, she spoke up before me.

"It's for your lower back. I wouldn't want it to start hurting."

My face turned beet red, "Mom! It's not like that, we're just friends" I accidentally yelled in shock.

"Who's just friends" I heard Chan's voice ask from behind me.

"We're just friends. My mom thought we did something over the weekend."

"Aw, you don't want to be more than friends? And who would I be to not take care of someone after, I would provide pain reliever afterwards" Chan teased me. My face went redder than it was before and I smacked his arm while he and my mom laughed.

"I'm just messing with you, don't worry Seungmin" Chan assured me as he ruffled my hair and leaned down to my ear, "although it would be nice to be more than friends.' He pulled away from my face and sat down like nothing happened.

"So, Chan. How is your father" my mom asked.

"He's doing good, he's busy trying to keep everything in order within and not within the pack."

"I see, if he needs any help I can always come and help out."

"I was actually supposed to ask you, if you two wanted to move to the pack grounds?"

"I'll think about it. I think it would be best if you have Seungmin there mostly, rather than him here."

Chan nodded and I was left kind of confused. Chan leaned over and whispered that he would explain later.

The silence was interrupted by a knock at the door. Chan got up and went over to a small window. He immediately retreated and gave my mom a look.

"Seungmin, Chan, go up to your room and don't come out for anything. Chan, call you dad" my mom ordered.

Chan drug me to my room and told me to pack a bag while he called his dad. I started packing a bag and heard the front door open.

"Where is he" I heard a male voice demand.

"He's not here" my mom answered back.

"Don't lie, I can smell his scent."

"That's because he lives here, his scent is going to be here" my mom darted back.

Chan tapped my arm and nodded over towards the window. I opened it and saw Felix standing below the window. I heard a scream behind me, downstairs. I tried running towards the door but was stopped by Chan.

"Let me go Chan! He's hurting my mom" I yelled out.

"I can't let you go down there, he'll hurt you."

"I don't care. That's my mom down there" I continued yelling as I hit his arm.

"Where are you at you little shit" I heard the male from downstairs yell.

There was a knock at my door.

"Open up, you can go to your mom, I won't hurt you" the male explained softly.

"Chan, let me go" I demanded softly.

Chan held his grip on my waist tighter, but not tight enough to hurt me. The knocking on my door turned to banging.

"I know you're in there! You can't hide from me forever" he yelled.

The yelling stopped for a moment and I heard the snarling of animals. Chan got me to the window and pushed me out. Felix caught me and Chan dropped silently beside us.

"It's time to go. The alpha is in there now" Chan told Felix and we ran to Chan's car.

When we got in the car, the front door burst open. It revealed two large wolves fighting each other. One looked at me and tried getting to me, but the other bit into its back to prevent that. Three more wolves appeared. Two looked like one and the other looked like the one trying to get to me.

"Chan, you have to drive" Felix tried reasoning with Chan.

Chan wouldn't move to start driving the car.

"Chan, we have to go! Now! Changbin and Luke are there with your dad, they'll be fine. We need to get Seungmin back the pack area" Felix yelled at Chan.

Chan looked at me and I saw his eyes were swirling with gold and red. He was fighting if he should stay or not. I grabbed his hand and he turned his head away. I grabbed his chin lightly and made him look at me.

"Chan, they'll be okay. It's three against two. Those odds seem pretty good to me. You need to listen to Felix" I spoke to him softly. I moved my hand from his chin to have it at the side of his head.

He leaned into the touch and closed his eyes. A few breaths later he opened his eyes and they were the normal brown eyes that I always see. He brought his hand up to mine and held it.

"Let's get out of here."

Chan started driving off. He was still holding my hand and I smiled at it. My hand felt warm and even though everything was happening I felt a blanket of warmth and safety around me. I laid my head back and I stared out the window. My eyes slowly started getting heavier and heavier, and soon, I was asleep.
