Everyone assumed that Atsumu was the more affectionate one in the relationship since he shows it more openly in public. However, Sakusa is equally as affectionate as Atsumu but prefers to show it in private. He never found the need to show it in front of others. Atsumu knows Sakusa loves him, and he also knows Sakusa isn't comfortable showing his affection in public. Atsumu never had a problem with that, he knew before they started their relationship that Sakusa isn't an openly affectionate person in front of others.

When they first started dating Atsumu and Sakusa had a conversation about PDA.

- flashback -
"Omi Omi! Can I talk to you about something?" Atsumu asked happily. Only because of his tone Sakusa knew he wasn't gonna end their relationship.
"Omi, are you uncomfortable with me showing my affection to you in public? Or do you get embarrassed showing your affection in public?"
Sakusa sighed lightly.
"Atsu, I love how you openly show your affection for me in public. I think it's cute so no I'm not uncomfortable. And I am not necessarily embarrassed showing my affection in public I just have a reason I don't."
"Can I know the reason if you don't mind?" Atsumu asked sincerely.
"This might sound stupid but I don't see the need for others to view my affection towards you. You know I love you. You get all my affection in private. I only want you to see that side of me."
"That's so cute! I was just wondering in case I was making you uncomfortable."
"You never make me uncomfortable love."

They'd been together for years and over the years they had found that multiple people doubted Sakusa's feelings for Atsumu. A lot of people thought Sakusa was cheating or dating him out of pity.
The MSBY team didn't even know that Sakusa and Atsumu had been dating since high school. They thought they might've hated each other with the way Sakusa acted. It wasn't until someone had asked Atsumu out and he declined did they find out Atsumu even had been seeing someone. They also found out who it was that day as well.

- flashback -
"Atsumu, will you go on a date with me?" A young woman around their age had asked. No doubt she was beautiful and she worked with the team a bit.
The gym went silent and expected Atsumu to say yes.
"Sorry but I am actually in a very healthy and committed relationship." Atsumu said politely.
"I'm so sorry I didn't know. Sorry if I made you uncomfortable." She immediately felt sorry and embarrassed.
"No it's fine."

Once the girl had left Atsumu was bombarded with questions from Bokuto and Hinata mainly.
"Your dating someone? How long? Is she pretty?"
Hinata asked excitedly.
"Yes I am dating someone, actually we are engaged. I've been with them since second year. And he is very beautiful."
"Second year of Uni?" That wasn't long ago isn't that a little fast to be enhanced?" Bokuto asked.
"No, second year of High school."
"WHAT?! YOU NEVER TOLD US! YOU KNEW US THEN!!!" Bokuto and Hinata yelled.
"We thought you knew and just never talked about it." Atsumu answered
"Well who is the lucky guy?" Hinata asked.
"Hahahaha you'll find out." With that Atsumu went back to practice.

Later that night the team went drinking and to dinner. Atsumu had a few drinks, he wasn't drunk or anything but the team thought he was maybe tipsy since he was flirting with Sakusa.
"Let's tell them." Atsumu whispered to Sakusa.
Sakusa smirked and said "No, I want to show them."
Sakusa cupped Atsumu's face and kissed him lovingly. Sakusa didn't do this often but tonight he wanted to shock his team and he was happy seeing Atsumu smile. He just wanted an excuse to kiss him.
"SAKUSA YOU KNOW HE IS ENGANGED RIGHT?!" Bokuto yelled.
"No shit. Who do you think gave him the fucking ring?" Sakusa snapped back leaving the entire team in shock.

- present -
They were currently smiling with tears in their eyes. This was one of the happiest days of their lives, as they person asked for their vows they held hands.
"You may now say your vows."
"Atsumu, I know I don't show a lot of affection when there are others around. I told you the reason why when we first started dating all those years ago. I told you that I only want you to see that side of me. You will always see every part of me. I love you so much. I am so glad I proposed, I am so glad I kissed you in front of the team shocking them cause they didn't even know we were together. Even your brother was surprised when I asked his blessing to propose because he said he had almost forgotten we were together. I laughed that day. I promise to always love you and protect you. You are my world, my universe. You are so perfect and I can't wait until we one day start a family. You are my everything. I promise to make you happy always. I mean in all the years we've been together we haven't fought. We always talk thing through before they escalate. You love me and I love you. I always said we're forever."

Atsumu was crying and smiling at what Sakusa had said. Even Osamu was crying and people in the audience were stunned and happy.
"Omi Omi, I knew from the moment I saw you I was bound to fall for you. You went from my best friend to my lover and best friend. We always talk about everything. There have never been any secrets in our relationship and we unintentionally kept ours a secret from our team and a few friends. Although to be fair we did figure they knew, we thought everyone knew. I have loved you forever and will love you forever. I truely believe we were together in our past lives and are destined to find each other in our lives to come. We are truely forever. We will adopt kids and have a happy family I know you always wanted one and so do I. I fucking love you. You were my first everything and you will be my last everything. I am so happy we are here. I love you Omi."

"You may now kiss the groom."
Sakusa immediately grabbed Atsumu by the waist and kissed him deeply before pulling away putting their foreheads on together.
"I love you my Sakusa Atsumu."
"I love you too Sakusa Kiyoomi. My beautiful husband."
