They started calling Oikawa 'mum' and Iwaizumi 'dad' as a joke but it eventually just stuck and they openly called them that. When at training camps with other teams and they call Oikawa and Iwaizumi this, the other teams are confused at first but when they caught on they didn't question it.

Oikawa secretly went through a Justin Beiber faze and Iwaizumi told Makki and Mattsun about it and now to annoy or embarrass Oikawa they randomly sing or play 'Baby'. It's something that even Iwaizumi started doing and the rest of the team is so confused when it happens. Oikawa usually gets embarrassed but also enjoys seeing them all act like idiots and sing or play 'Baby' around the team with no context. Everyone else on the team did end up thinking that the third years liked Justin Beiber and bought each of them one of his CDs and the third years lost it laughing but still didn't explain the joke.

They were always confused as to whether Iwaizumi and Oikawa were dating or not because they would see them hold hands and cuddle but also see them bicker and not know whether they were together or just messing around, especially when they never specified it. Until they saw them kiss when Oikawa hurt his knee and Iwaizumi take care of him, and Iwaizumi told them he had the dumbest boyfriend ever.
