It's crazy to think about our relationship with the people around us. If you did not grow up with someone you do not know they exist until you actually meet them. Then maybe for a short while, you are aware of their presence. If by chance you keep meeting with them, then you become acquaintances. If you find out you have similar interests, you start hanging out more and more, eventually becoming friends. It's almost like each person has their own little level of familiarity and it's a game to see if you can get the high score.
Let There Be Life

Nove awoke, their whole world spinning. What? When? Why? Confusion was a new phenomenon for the diety all tough they had a feeling they had experienced this before, back in the flux when Everything and Nothing were together. However, in this new world, Nove did not know anything, or rather the deity had forgotten everything. With no goal or destination to speak of, they wandered the cosmos.
Something seemed different in the emptiness. Unlike before balls of gas decorated the darkness. They were not like anything else, they glowed and shifted in a seemingly random pattern. Blue. The thought suddenly appeared in Nove's head like they already knew what these ball-shapes were. In fact, Nove was not exactly sure what a ball was but they knew it resembled those specs.
Nowadays some say that was the first-ever color that appeared in this universe. While others claim that when Everything and Nothing were together all the colors existed simultaneously and this was just the first spark born after their separation. Whatever the case we can all agree that the first stars in our cosmos were indeed, blue.
Nove continued to struggle with his confusion. They tried to remember what had existed before but the furthest back they could recall was the attack from Hause. Why? Are we not the same? Hause had become a problem. A problem the deity was going to have to deal with sooner or later. But at the moment there was another thought floating in Nove's mind. Who was that strange being that tried to interfere? Their shape had made the deity curious. Trying to replicate it Nove created a transparent silhouette for themselves. For some reason, it felt much more comfortable.
A shape I can enjoy. The deity thought to itself while passing directly through one of the blue stars. Taking some time to think in the warm light of the blue sun Nove decided on their goal. They were going to find the strange being before Hause could. But how?
First thing's first. Nove steadied themselves. If they were going to find a being in this universe they were going to have to project themselves. There was a risk to it, everyone in existence will be able to tell where they were.
If Hause appears first then I will just have to deal with them. With that thought, Nove concentrated. It took most of their power to project themselves on such a large scale, but it was not something they couldn't handle.
For some time Nove stood there waiting, the blue light shivering all around them. With nothing else to do Nove decided to try different shapes. They turned into the first thing that came to their mind — a ball with a hole in the middle. The deity tried stretching and squashing its form, finding amusement in the activity. Now some people claim that's when the first donut was invented while others say that's when boredom and procrastination were discovered. Personally, I believe that they appeared at the same time, but I am not crazy enough to throw my hat in that debate.
All I know is that while waiting Nove sensed a presence approaching. Bracing themselves, the diety changed back to its silhouette before moving above the newly formed star. Is it Hause or the other one? To Nove's surprise, it was neither. Two new beings came into view, both with similar shapes to his and yet different.
"Oh, hey!" One of the beings said. "I'm Life this is my sibling Death."
"Hello!" The other being said, waving a part of their shape.
Their method of communication was crude at best, but Nove did not want another conflict arising. So the deity decided to imitate the two beings. It was not a hard thing to do, they were just vibrating at different frequencies.
"Hhhheeeellllloooo." The first time they tried Nove vibrated with their whole body.
"Oh, I didn't know you could talk." Life said with a patronizing tone.
"Heelllo." Nove tried again, this time vibrating only their head.
"I think they're getting better." Death chimed in.
"Helo." Nove finally said, replicating only the most obvious details on the two shapes.
"There you go." Life said with a smile. Nove returned it in a twisted manner. "So who are you then?"
"Are you the Void by any chance?" Death asked.
"No. I am...." Nove trailed off unable to think of a word. So instead they did the next best thing. Nove projected their being onto the two deities. What they saw, what they felt, what they heard, what they smelled was all Nove. A being from before an originator, the primordial one.
Both of the sibling's jaws dropped. They could not believe it, to them that was as exciting as meeting Neil Patrick Harris is for us.
"Oooh, this is sooo great!" Life said. "We will get to start a real-life, with our creator."
"Creator?" The older diety asked.
"Mother told us all about it. It's an honor, sir." Death said with a big grin on their face.
"What is Life?" Nove asked.
"This." The two younger deities pointed at the blue star.
"This?"
"And this." Life said while extending her palm. From it, a squirrel with brown fur and green eyes emerged.
"And this is death." The other sibling said consuming the animal.
Nove stood there, thinking for a short while. The primordial deity put out their hand creating a pink forested sprinkle donut in the process. "Life?" Nove asked, scratching its head.
"Not exactly." Life said giggling to herself.
"But maybe it could be." Death said. "What if we make that the energy mortal beings will require."
"How do you mean?" Life asked a bit confused.
"Well, this way you will spend less energy maintaining the things...."
"......And that energy will come from those things"
"Exactly." Death clapped their hands in acknowledgment.
"Not life?" Nove asked eating the donut.
"I guess not." Death said.
"Especially not now." Life said looking at the crumbs on Nove's face.
"So where do we go from here." Death asked.
"I guess we just go create stuff." Life shrugged.
Nove looked at the two new beings and wondered if it was possible to make more of them. If it was then the Hause problem would soon disappear. Although the primordial deity was not exactly sure how. It just knew that something had to be done.
