1 year earlier

"I'll see you soon, love," he said and let my hand go. One of his brown curls was hanging down on his forehead, and his dark eyes stared into mine. He kissed my head.

"Aiden are you coming?," one of his friends yelled from their car.

One of them whistled at us, and they all laughed. My cheeks turned slightly red and I looked at the ground. Aiden lifted my head with his finger. He smiled at me, before he turned to his friends. Aiden got in the car, and they drove out of the parking lot. God I loved him.

I lived close to my college, so I had decided to live at home until I could find an apartment. I got home in under 5 minutes. I opened the door and found my mom in the kitchen, with her eyes in her phone. She lifted her head and smiled when she saw me.

"Hi Lamia, how was school?" She asked and walked over to me. She gave my head a kiss.

"It was okay," I smiled and walked up to my room.

I took out my phone and wrote goodnight to Aiden. I waited a couple of minutes, but he didn't answer. He was probably just still with his friends. I laid down on my bed, and fell asleep almost immediately.

It was the next morning and Aiden still hadn't answered my text. I tried calling him, but he didn't answer. Maybe he just overslept. I walked to school because Aiden didn't show up to drive me. It was raining and I had no umbrella. I made it to my first class and sat down beside Kaya.

"Have any of you seen Aiden today?" I asked her.

"No, why?"

"He isn't answering me."

She shrugged. Her blonde hair was in a ponytail, and it was touching her lower back. "No need to overthink it, maybe he's just sick, or his phone died." I sighed and leaned back in my seat.

"Yeah probably."

Later that day I asked Aidens friends but they hadn't seen him either. It was like he just vanished. If he were sick could he have sent a text or something. College was boring without him too, and it went by slowly.

It was lunchtime and I sat down with Kaya and our friends.

"Have you seen Aiden?"

"No we haven't seen him," Amelia said and continued to eat her salad.

No one had seen him at all?

The rest of the week weren't special, we got school done and I still hadn't heard from Aiden. A whole week and no sign of him at all. I sat down on my bed and tried calling him for the hundredth time, but it again went straight to voicemail. I was close to giving up on it. I chose to take a shower, and the hot water ran down my body. It felt relaxing.

I got put and a little while after, my phone was ringing. I picked it up from my bed. Aiden. I quickly answered.

"Aiden, why haven't you answered me all week? I've tried calling you, where have you been-" "I can't," he cut me off.

"Can't what Aiden?"

"I can't be with you anymore."

"You ignore me for a week and then you call me saying you can't be with me. You can't just do that Aiden." Tears were forming in my eyes, but I tried not to let it affect my voice. A minute went by, like he was considering what to say.

"I'm sorry, but we are over, Lamia," and then he hung up.

His voice had no sign of sadness or emotion. What the actual fuck just happened. Tears were forming in my eyes, as I tried calling him again. He didn't answer. I sat down on my bed in disbelief. My boyfriend for over a year, just broke up with me over the phone.
