Chapter 1

CHAPTER 1

August 15th, 2019 (6 :25AM)

*RING*

"Uhhhhh,why do I do this to myself"

Waking up to the sound of your alarm was always dreadful. Even more upsetting was the fact that you were starting a new school year, but not just any school year. This was going to be the start of your high school career.

You had just moved from Tokyo to Hyōgo. You were going to start the year off knowing no one, but to you that wasn't really a problem. You didn't really have any intentions of getting to know new people, you just wanted to get the day over with and be in the comfort of your dreams. 2 years ago this moment would've made you feel a sense of excitement. Meeting new people gave you something to look forward to. The feeling of excitement knowing that you can create memories that would be implanted in your brain for eternity, and live life was a normal feeling that arrived every year. Alas, the constant anticipation for the school year vanished. Ever since your second year of junior high, all you can look forward to is going to sleep and dreaming.

"You know there isn't really anything exciting today. I just really want to go back to sleep, I was having a really good dream last night".

You got up and started your routine that was etched into your mind. You took a cold shower, brushed your teeth, did your hair, and cleaned your piercing. You slipped on your uniform, and remembered that you were forgetting one thing.

"How can I forget to put on this".

'It's really the only thing I have left of you...', you thought.

She placed on an oversized deep maroon zip up hoodie that she basically wore everyday. Of course she washed it, but she rarely ever left the house without it.

Walking down the stairs she heard her mother yell from the kitchen

"Hey (Y/N) do you want me to make you a quick breakfast!?", her mother asked.

"I'm good, I'll probably just pass by the liquor or something".

"That's fine, I hope you have a good day at school, I love you"

"Love you too"

Ever since they moved, (Y/N) really only had her mom to comfort her when she needed it. She had 1 close friend that she still kept in close contact with, but that was it. She was content with what she had though, because she preferred to stay by herself.

Making her way to school, she decided to put in her earbuds and listen to some music. Shuffling her playlist, Egyptian Luvr by Rejjie Snow played.

"Just let go of sorrow, like there's no tomorrow,'Cause tonight might be your last".

'Really wish it was that easy'

Time: 7:46

Walking into the small liquor store you headed straight for the snack aisle in search of your favorite bag of chips. You scanned through the various brands of chips until you stumbled upon the familiar bag. You grabbed the bag and headed towards the line.

While you were waiting you saw a boy at the cash register that had the boys uniform for the school that you went to. You looked away while waiting for your turn. You then looked up seeing the boy staring at you before quietly leaving the store. You found it strange but left it at that.

You then paid for the bag of chips and continued on your way to school.

Time: 8:02AM

'Dang the bell already rang? Guess it wasn't a smart idea to pass by the liquor. At least I got some chips for later though'.

Wandering through the hallways of the foreign school, she soon began regretting not coming for a tour of the campus. She refused to go because she didn't want to interact with the new students, and because she didn't want to wake up at 6:00AM during the summer.

Time: 8:14AM

'Someone explain to me why it took me 12 minutes to find one classroom'

(Y/N) braced herself for all the eyes that would soon be on her, considering that fact she was 14 minutes late and counting. She also was aware that people would stare at her due to her piercing, but she didn't really mind because if she liked it she liked it, it didn't matter if people found it weird. Though it really was embarrassing walking into a classroom when everyone is already present, she decided to just get it over with.

As soon as she opened the door she could feel the numerous judging eyes on her.

'Please just stare somewhere else I know I'm late, move on', she thought to herself.

"It's great for you to join us so late. What is your name so I can assign your seat". Her teacher scoffed while waiting for a reply.

'It's literally the first day, calm down', you thought.

"My name is (L/N)(Y/N)"

"Alright (L/N), you're seated in row 5 next to the window. Fair warning, the next time you're late I won't hesitate to write you up". Her teacher replied with an annoyed tone.

'Dang she's really pissed, she probably won't like me any more', you nodded.

Making her way through the desks she could hear people snicker and stare at her. She didn't mind though because it just made it easier to ignore her classmates.

Arriving at her desk she noticed the boy sitting in the desk next to her was the same boy she saw at the liquor previously. Though he was now sleeping with his earbuds in. Thankful that he probably wouldn't want to talk to her, she quickly sat down and placed one earbud in her ear and continued listening to music.

'I really hope today isn't too exciting' she thought to herself.

This is the first chapter, it's low key boring and short right now but I actually have some pretty good ideas planned out for this story. Also Egyptian Luvr is so good so I had to use it for this chapter for no particular reason. Ill try to make the chapters longer as I write. Anyways I hope you all like it, Chao:)
