Horus's POV.
I feel my feathers stand on edge. One fucking night Is all I asked for after everything I did for them,and this wasn't even they're business. My wings spread out cupping anubis under me. "How dare you disturb me ra after what I did for you."

Shock spreads over his features. "Your not serious are you?"
"I battled my own brother and imprisoned him under your command! It killed me seeing him like that. It destroyed me!" The whispers return making my head throb they'll take him away I dig my claws into anubis's thighs making him yelp. "You cant have him,ra. You think I dont know?" I laugh loudly looking down at my brother I grab his face roughly. Demanding his attention his gold eyes looking up at me. The whispers seem to be pushed back for a moment a second of clarity calming me. "I'll never let you go."

Anubis trys to speak clearly shocked. I look up at ra. Pulling myself from anubis. I get up from the bed walking up to ra beak to beak with the shocked falcon. Kill him "take the mortal and go she'll be fetched when anubis wishes to have a offspring. I suppose until then you should keep her entertained."

I shove them out the door locking it behind them. I hear her sobbing right outside bringing a smile to my face.

Sets pov

I wrap my arms around the girl rocking her. I remember being in the same position when I found out I wasn't anubis's father. "Shhh. Little one." I coo "I know your upset and hurt and angry. I wont let them use you for breeding."

"Set horus could destroy you." Ra says softly his usual goofy nature snuffed under our new discovery. "I do not fear death. I have lived a long life. If horus comes for me so be it. She will be a god by then."
Ras jaw drops. "Your gonna!? But what if she gets corrupted?"
"Corruption has already begun. She can overcome corruption. Shes different I feel it in my bones."
"Where will you go?"
"To my temple I had preparations for such a thing before my defeat."
Ra grins. "You sly dog I'll keep them off your scent for as long as I can. I can see it now the goddess of purity."
"Yes but before she can begin she needs time to heal."
Ra beams as he rushes off to make preparations.

I look down at the sobbing girl my heart aching for her. I rub her back in small circles. Teleporting us to my temple my servants already preparing our living quarters. I had sent them over yesterday just in case. "Bring us some calming tea." I order the closest one. Bringing the girl over to sit with me. Shes sobbing so hard shes hiccuping.

I feel my heart ache as well my thousand year old wound still tender. I feel a tear fall down my snout. My tuffed ears flattening. My servant brings the tea and sets it on the table.
I embrace her tightly not so sure if I'm doing it for her or myself as I begin to cry with her. Feeling weak for letting my emotions out.

By the end of the night she falls asleep crying into my chest and I carry her to her new room one all of her own with modern day clothing,books and some stuffed animals. I had asked my servants to ensure her comfort and once again they amaze me. I set her In the bed covering her with the softest blanket ever known to exist. As I look around I find myself comforted by its bright grey color scheme. Reminded once again that I'm color blind.

I step out the room determined shifting into my human form,before teleporting inside a animal shelter. I look at the dogs and cats before me. I come across a cat a very special cat I feel it in my bones this is the cat she needs. I open the cage picking the shorthaired cat up. It purrs cuddling into my neck. I find myself once again distracted with its glorious purr.

I shake my head clear looking at each dog most growling and jumping at the cage trying to eat the cat those simply wont do. I find myself looking into a cage full of small whimpers and yawns a dotson with a bunch of puppies already the size of her I get the feeling that they are mixed with something grand with how they hold themselves very proud mutts indeed. I read the paper on the cage the pups are ten weeks old they are ready to leave the nest.

I find myself captivated by one that the humans call a blue merle tho I cant see the blue I hear that they are beautiful,but can I really only take one pup theres only four of them surely I have enough room for them all,and how could I take all the puppies and leave the mother now that would be a crime.

I grab a empty crate and start placing them all inside. And leave gold coins in each of they're cages before leaving confident my servants have toys and food already selected as each times I return to earth I end up with a full pack of pets. I've always found myself comforted by they're presence and hope the girl will too.

I soon realize I dont even know her name it occurs to me that I haven't even asked. I teleport back setting the animals down to allow them to explore. The mom dotson stands beside me while her pups fuck with the cat. I pick the mother up walking over to my couch and stretch out allowing the exhausted dog to stretch itself out in my lap. I let out a heavy sigh allowing myself to fall asleep.
