father son talk

I hold her tiny hand in my large clawed one. Looking at the fresh wound in her gut. The door opens a servant stepping in. "Seth wishes to speak with you." I huff standing up.
If my father wishes to speak with me this cant be good. I give her one last look over,before leaving. I drag my hands over the writing's on the wall looking over the stories of my family.

As we turn the corner I find myself seeing a frazzled horus and my father looking as cocky as ever.
"What will you gain from this seth?" Horus asks his feathers ruffled. I almost stop in  my tracks I dont think I've ever seen anyone get under horus's skin.

"Father leave horus be." I growl. My father beams at me. Hugging me tightly. " you have no idea how proud I am of you anubis. The last time I had seen such a show of strength it had been when I ruled Egypt. I suppose we know who you get it from!"

I sigh looking back at a very stressed looking horus. "I'll be going now anubis. Why don't you come see me after your talk with uncle seth."

"I'll do that." I say giving him a encouraging smile.  Seth leads me into his room.

"Welcome back son I've waited a long time to see you again. The others were starting to assume you had been killed,but I knew horus couldn't do it well at least not when it comes to you."

I huff taking a seat. "What are you going on about father?"

"The fact that instead of killing you horus locked you away spending most his days watching over you. Carefully planning that girls birth. Did you know that horus is her father."

I look at him shocked. "What?"

"A mere human cannot become a god. Well unless she or he has the blood of a god. Hell I'm sure you remember that rule from when you and horus was mortal."

"I do remember,but why would horus do that?"

"Because horus receives a sick satisfaction  knowing that you'll be making love to a piece of himself. Have you gotten a chance to really look at the girl. I know it been a couple of thousand years since you've seen horus's mortal face his skin tone his lips. "
I shift uncomfortably. "You married  your sister so what is the problem?"

"Horus is in love with you. He has been since the two of you were mortal. Horus knows you have no interest in men so clearly horus came to the conclusion that he could still have you. Well maybe not you but your child."

I sigh not sure how to handle this situation. My father has never lied to me before,but horus has never disrespected me. Sure when we were young he would talk me into doing silly things like practicing kissing. Or holding hands or sleeping in the same bed. I suppose I just never thought that horus would actually have feelings for me. That could be why he was so flustered. I smile at my father. "I know that if my child had no interest in horus he wouldn't push them."

My father frowns. "Your not concerned about horus's obsession with you? He's been holding onto you for so long what if his restraint crumbles. He could end up forcing himself on you or your child."

"We all have our faults you especially should know that." I say though my mind wonders to ifs and buts.

Seth remains quiet giving me a chance to take my leave. To bad I already agreed to meeting with horus. There are many things swimging around my mind. I let out a deep breath and head to horus's room. What if horus wants me to make love with his daughter because in a twisted way it would be like I was making love with him. My ears flatten. Now that I really think about it she truly does look like horus. What if a part of me was in love with horus as well.

My stomach churns as I reach for his door pushing it open to find a ruffled looking horus. He looks up at me our eyes locked for a moment. " I knew you'd see me differently if you knew. " he says his head lowering. I am ashamed."

"You shouldn't be ashamed horus. We've always been close closer than most. I do see you differently but not in a poor way. You've held back watched me fall for another stopped me from my rage. When I couldn't handle betrayal. You've been a better man than myself. I can't look down at you. Your restraint amazes me."
 
Horus looks up at me. "I don't know how much longer I can hold out anubis. I just need you even if it was just for one night. One night is all I'll ever ask for because I know you wish for a wife and child."
