"Yes Wilbur, I've memorized the plans and the men are ready." Fundy and Wilbur walked into the war planning room, a map of the forts that laid ahead was in the center of it. Wilbur fidgeted his round glasses that sat on his nose and sighed.
"I'm sorry, I'm just worried, Tommy and Tubbo are risking their lives, going so deep into enemy territory." Fundy sighed.
"Good to know you have your priorities straight."
"Say again my little champion?" Fundy rolled his eyes.
"Nothing Wilbur." Wilbur didn't care for him much, on purpose or not. But when he did he always treated him as if he was a little boy.
"Gentlemen, what's the plan?" Fundy and Wilbur turned to see Eret make his entrance. In a second Wilbur turned from naïve dad into a serious leader.
"For starters, we are waiting for Tommy's signal, from there you and Fundy will lead an army attacking the far west and east bases. You guys then will then close in from the sides and eventually meet in the middle. Hopefully when Tommy's side and yours is completely under L'Manberg control you can both move in and take out any other forts in between you guys and Tommy. Is that clear enough?" Eret nodded.
"Good, this is war my fellow revolutionaries. I can't promise you anything, just stay strong and L'Manberg won't fall." Bam! A firework exploded in the air taking everyone off guard. Most soldiers dropped to the ground, they had heard stories from the fifth about bombing attacks. Everyone sat in silence for half a minute.
"Wait, Fundy and Eret. That's not TNT, it's Tommy's signal!" Fundy and Eret got up and followed Wilbur as he ran outside.
"Look!" Wilbur pointed to a bright orange firework erupting in the air. He then turned to Fundy and Eret.
"Go to your men, prepare to attack. I'll be staying here with the third in case of a counter attack." Eret nodded and ran off. Fundy began to do the same but Wilbur put his hand on Fundy's shoulder. He hesitated and sighed while Fundy stood impatiently.
"Be safe, remain calm, and stay strong. My little champion." Fundy sighed and rolled his eyes.
"Thanks Will." Fundy then got on a horse and rode out to meet his men in another fort.
When Fundy got there he smiled to see his top Lieutenant, Wadzee standing at attention on the frontline with the first in attention right behind him. Their gate was open and they appeared to be waiting on Fundy. Wadzee was taller, he had brown hair and brown eyes too, and like everyone else he wore the L'Manberg uniform. Fundy at first saw him as a rule breaker and annoying. He was rebellious and pushed Fundy to his limits, purposely doing things to piss him off. But eventually Fundy realized he was still a strong warrior, smart too, and Wadzee grew fond of Fundy as they became friends. Fundy then promoted him to his right hand man for his intelligence, not to mention he fought hard on the battlefield.
"Fundy! Good to see you made it sir. As you can see I formed the men in formation early. That way we can get a head start on the second battalion sir!" Fundy smirked as he got off his horse and started to put on his armor.
"That's great to hear! Tommy gave the signal so we are good to go! I hope you're ready, we have a long march but since you didn't wait on me that should give us a head start." Wadzee gave Fundy a salute and fell back into the square formation. Fundy beamed with pride. He had felt honored to be given the first battalion, and he knew they would do great in battle. Soon he was ready and he himself fell in line at the front center of the formation.
"Soldiers, are you ready to fight for your new country?"
"Yes sir!" Fundy smiled again.
"Then, march!" Just like that, Fundy and the others were off. They had learned where they had to go through a map but who knew what was at the enemy fort? He just hoped they could take it. Maybe if they won the war, he could truly win over his father.
