Xavier watched over his unconscious little kitten with exceeding care. He kept an eye on her all the time. The Pack Doctor had said she would be conscious in a day or two and Xavier was impatient. He would try his best to make it up to her.

"Drew? Baby? Where are we?" He heard his Kitten as she poked his back. So that man was Drew. He turned around and Zoya leapt with a short screech. Scurrying under a blanket to hide her body. "Wh..who are you?" She mumbled fearfully." You don't remember me kitten?" Xavier acted as if he was hurt. But in truth he was elated. He could start afresh.

Zoya shook her head. "I am your mate,little kitten. We've been staying together for the last few weeks honey." Her eyes widened. "I would remember my mate. But I can feel the bond. Oh I have a mate!" She did a happy dance and hugged Xavier tightly. He sighed as his body responded to her. She winced suddenly," Oww! I hurt all over. And I can't feel my wolf. And I don't even know you are name. And have you marked me? And have we you know..you know fucked? And Ohmygod! What happened to Drew. We were on a mission. Oh...oh..and now I am bablling!" She ranted tumbling over words. Xavier laughed. He had never seen this playful bubbly side of his kitten. All he had seen was her cowering in fear. Maybe because you terrified her so much. His wolf sneered.

"Relax kitten. I hate to break this to you honey,but Drew hurt you so badly." He feigned sorrow. "What! Drew!" His kitten was stunned. "Yes,love. He couldn't take it that you had a mate and didn't want him anymore. So, he attacked our pack and hurt you. I came in just before he was about to rape you. I am so sorry that I couldn't protect you. He even damaged your wolf honey, but she should heal soon." He lied through his teeth. He had had Venacava wrap himself around her wolf and keep her from telling Zoya the truth. "And as for who I am,I am Alpha Xavier of the Dark moon pack."

Zoya shrieked. "You killed my parents!" Xavier stroked her hair gently and eased her into his lap. "It was an accident kitten,all those years ago. We mistook them for vicious rouges. Our pack regrets that till this day.Sorry kitty." He kissed her forehead. She nodded slightly. She had thought that Alpha Xavier was a cruel man but maybe she had been wrong....
