Mine

Why?

Xavier sighed as he bandaged Zoya's wrist. He knew she was in immense pain and he didn't like it.  He kissed her forehead softly and whispered into her ear,"Sorry little kitten, I didn't want to hurt you so bad but you and I both know you need to be tamed. "He tucked her under covers and left locking the door behind him. He didn't want to take any chances.

Zoya regained her consciousness in a while. As soon as her eyes opened, the pain in her wrist came back with a vengeance. She let out a strangled cry and lifted her wrist to examine the damage. She was taken a back to see a bandage covering the marks. Why him? Anyone would have done but why him. Zoya thought.I thought I punished you last night for not accepting the truth kitten. His deep voice rumbled inside her mind. Zoya yelped in fright and looked around. I am not in the room my little mate, I am in my office.  I just wanted to tell you I can hear all your thoughts. I am letting this slip but the next time I hear you think something against me, I won't hesitate to punish you again.  You would do better to accept me and love me back little one, or I will have to force you. His voice cut off and Zoya shivered.  She wrapped the blankets around her tighter and lay motionless on the bed.

After what seemed like hours, the door knob turned and Xavier entered the room. He walked to the bed and saw his little kitten.  "I'm back. " he said leaning in and pecked her cheek.She flinched slightly but he pretended not to notice. "You will have to talk to me sometime, you know. "he said sitting next to her.

She looked away. "Why do you hate me Zoya?"He thinks I am going to reply knowing he will probably bite me again? She thought and then gasped realising he must have heard what she thought. "You do have a valid point Zoya, how about you can say anything for the next hour without fearing being punished? " he said caressing her cheek softly. She nodded slightly.

"Okay so I will ask you again, Why do you hate me? " He asked."B...because you killed my parents!  They were all I had.  I have been alone ever since, fending for myself with no pack, no home. Why did you kill them? " she screamt letting out the frustration pent up inside her."Kitten, I must have killed hundreds of weres till date, I can't remember all the reasons, they must have trespassed my territory or something." he waved it off with a casual shrug."For you they were just a rouge couple, for me they were my parents!  How can you be so uncaring, I came here to kill you.  I should have done it when I had the chance, I was all alone and afraid for years because of you, you filthy rat!" Zoya screeched and began to sob. Xavier's wolf wanted to smack some sense into her, this was not the way to talk to an Alpha! But Xavier held him back.

"Hush kitten, you are never going to be alone again, I will never let you go.  I am going to keep you safe, my little mate." he wrapped his arms around her and to his surprise she leaned against his chest and cried as he rubbed her back."It's all right kitten, it's all right. " he cooed as she let out the tears she had held in since her parents death and however much it disgusted her, she felt safe in Xavier's arms.
