"Of course! I should have known" our instructor chuckled

"However, what makes you so sure that you'll be the one to succeed him? I'm sure you're very aware of how impressive your senpai is" he mused

"Ha! I can acknowledge that persons skill, however there is no doubt in my mind that I'm superior in every way" Koenji didn't even put his senpai on the same level as him

Truth be told I hadn't met most of the Hashiras nor their pupils, however I had heard of Koenji.

One of the best of my generation..... but also a giant narcissist

That's why hearing him acknowledge the abilities of another must be...... I wonder who his senpai is

"Impressive! I sure do hope you'll live up to those expectations" our teacher laughed in glee

"With all these talents around... I wonder if some un-polished gem happened to slip through" he looked around maliciously

"In any case! Now that you've all been situated, I'll once again re-explain the rules. As you know, there are two point systems. Personal points, which are used to buy supplies needed for your missions, daily necessities, and my personal favorite, entertainment!" He spread his hands

"Now a-"

"But sir, we were never told how we get these personal points" a student interrupted him

"You weren't?" He scratched his head

"Hmmm.... as you kids know, the territory that this school is located in is ginormous. With so much space, we decided to establish a large portion of the school grounds to house demons. These de-"

"I'm sorry, we're housing WHAT?" A student shouted

"Listen here you little shit, if you interrupt me one more time, I'll make sure next time you open a can of soda it'll spill all over you"

"....is that even a thr-"

"Anyway! These demons are very tame in comparison to the ones that you will find in the real world. Not only do we control the area they're allowed to go into, we also control the maximum amount of strength they can attain. Therefore, these are perfect practice targets for you guys to fight."

Looking around,  I could see the wheels in my classmates heads starting to turn

"Hunting these demons will reward you, not only with the experience of battle, but also personal points. Of course, different demons will be valued at different points. Make sure to look at the bounty board in front of the entrance to the Demon Area. The board will list the value of the demons and where they were last spotted."

"Is that the only way to get personal points?" Someone asked

"While it's the quickest way to amass personal points, there indeed is more method of collecting points. As said before, you could bet points in personal matches. You could also receive points by completing tasks given to you by teachers. Finally, every month you will receive an allowance of sorts. You see, for every class point you have, you will receive 1,000 personal points."

As he dropped that final bomb, the eyes of everyone seemed to morph into dollar signs

"H-how do we get class points" someone asked

Everyone seemed to gulp at once upon hearing his question

"Class points are a little bit harder to get.... they can only be attained through special examinations in which classes are pitted against each other. Here's an extra piece of information for you guys, losing class points is much easier than getting them" he smiled
