Stare Into It, So Shall It Stare Into You

The gymnasium was an impressively large building, so much so that the entire student body was able to fit inside it with ease.

As our class was positioned into its place, I could see our area sectioned off as "First Years"

This meant that all the other classes in this section were also first years. Looking around, I noticed that each school year was sectioned off in their own area. Even the teachers had their own staff section.

"Well young ones, I must bid farewell. However fret not, for I will be back, like a forgotten lover" our teacher walked away

"More like an aggressive cancer" Ryuuen muttered

It seemed that Ryueen wasn't a big fan of our teacher, though the same could be said for the rest of the class. His mannerisms were probably not earning him any favor within the class

"Good morning everybody" a voice echoed through the gymnasium

It seemed that a staff member had begun the entrance ceremony

"For the new students, I am the current head master of this training facility, Mr. Sakayanagi"

Considering his name, it wouldn't take much to figure out that he had a daughter.

"I don't want to take up much of your time, and seeing as how you should have had the school rules and the system it works upon taught to you, I need only explain other things"

Other things?

"As you should know, this school houses demons in order to train you future warriors. They are kept in a contained environment and will do you no harm outside of their containment area"

At the very minimum, it seemed we'd be safe outside the forest....

"Now, second and third years are eligible to enter the forest starting next week. You will be able to take up bounties and earn points."

.....

"As for the first years, you will be barred from entry to the forest. Until you complete your first month of training, and are approved of by a teacher, you will not be able to enter, nor will you be allowed to take up bounty quests."

Everything he said has gone according to what Mantis Boy said it would be....

Just who is that kid...

"Other than that, I hope you children understand your situation. You will be the shield of humanity. The protectors of those unable to protect themselves. Should you graduate from this school, you will have proven yourself to be incredible warriors, ready to defeat those who intend to harm the human race. I implore you to try your best, and have a successful year" he bowed and took a step back from the microphone

The first years simply stood in place, taking in the information given to them, while the second and third years clapped their hands un-enthusiastically.

After Mr. Sakayanagi took his seat, another staff member... no.... A student took to the stage and approached the microphone.

The sword on his waist rattled as he calmly settled into place.

Unlike when the head master was speaking, everyone seemed to perk up upon seeing this student. Perhaps he was someone heavily admired?

"My name is Horikita Manabu, I am the current President of the Student Council. As the head of the school body, I have set many regulations to upkeep the schools integrity and efficiency. I do not intend to change any rules as of this moment from last year, as they have worked perfectly and there have been no major complaints."

Horikita Manabu, huh.... Isn't he that guys disciple? Actually if I recall correctly....

Isn't he the....

"Huh. I though it was just bullshit, but it seems to be true" Ryuuen stated

"What is?" A classmate asked

"Can't you feel it dipshit?" Ryuuen asked him

"Feel what?"

"His strength" he grinned

.....

"I haven't felt anyone this overwhelmingly powerful in a long time" Sakayanagis teeth shone through

"Due to the graduation of the third years, we are now looking for new students to occupy the now vacant positions on the student council. Should you consider yourself worthy, please do not hesitate to apply." Horikita stated and walked off stage

"So he's really strong? That's all?" Our classmate seemed to be unable to understand the meaning

"You retard.....

-I'm saying he's a fucking Hashira... a Pillar"

That teacher was right

This guy certainly piqued my interest....

And judging by the grin on Ryueen, Sakayangi, and even Koenji

We were well intrigued by this man

Strength attracts Strength after all

Certainly if such a person was stationed here, I wonder what other people I will meet?

I couldn't contain my curiosity

After the Entrance Ceremony ended, the students were released into the school grounds.

Seeing as how we weren't allowed to leave, many shops were put in place so as to entertain the student body.

Unfortunately, I hadn't made any friends apart from Ryuuen, so I was forced to wander about on my own.

Though now that I think about it.... Can I even consider Ryuuen a friend? He just kind of introduced himself to me....

Now that I think about it....

The only person who introduced themselves to the class was Sakayangi, so in essence, nobody in our class even knew each other's names....

This class was destined for failure....

Authors Note: I mean you should've guess that Manabu would be a pillar..... he's goated, simple

I'm thinking of writing another fanfic. I would keep updating this one, and keep the other one as a side project... a side hoe if you will. Idk im just losing interest in writing, so I'm hoping writing what I find interesting in the moment will help bring back that spark I had, you know? And what do I find interesting right now, you wonder? Superpowers motherfucker
