Yvaine Colace's POV

"Nazi human experimentation was a series of medical experiments on large numbers of prisoners, including children, by Nazi Germany in its concentration camps in the early to mid 1940s, during World War II and the Holocaust." Panimula ng teacher namin.

Ngumuso ako at pumangalumbaba sa table ko. And again, I jotted down every key words that our teacher is saying.

Human experimentation. That includes children. Holocaust.

"Ma'am! May tanong lang po ako!" One of our classmates raised hand.

Nilingon namin siya "Yes, Samantha? What is it?"

"How about the twin experiments po? May napanood po kasi ako dati sa Facebook noon na parang pinage-eksperimentuhan din daw po sila? Totoo po ba 'yon?"

Because of that ay mas lalo akong naganahan na makinig sa sasabihin ng teacher namin.

"Actually, that is indeed true. According to the book that I've once read before. Mayroon talagang mga twins ang pinage-eksperimentuhan ng mga doktor noon sa kapanahunan pa ng Nazi. And it is being led by——"

"Josef Mengele." Pangunguna ko sa sinasabi ni Ma'am. Dahilan ng pagtaas ng dalawang kilay niya. Hindi siguro siya makapaniwala na alam ko.

"Yes, that's right. Josef Mengele. How'd you know it Yvaine? Are you curious on that topic too?" She asked.

Ngumiwi ako at nilingon ang kakambal kong busy ngayon sa pagsusulat sa notebook niya, and I swear to God, she's probably daydreaming mentally right now.

Without any word. Napatango na agad si Ma'am Rayment dahil sa paglingon ko sa kakambal ko.

"I see. Since you have a twin sister is it? Na-curious ka siguro that's why you searched about it." Pagtawa ni Ma'am. Kaya tumango ako.

"Well then, what's with the twin experimentation po ba?" Tanong naman ng isa ko pang kaklase na si Kurt.

"Well, that experimentation ay sinusukat sa genes ng magkambal. Let's just say for example, since we have twins here. Let's say na sina Yvaine and Yvette are one of the twins na napiling pag eksperimentuhan ni Mengele. For example lang 'to ah, 'wag damdamin." Pagtawa ni Ma'am, sabay tingin sa aming magkambal.

I let out a smile, nah It's actually fine though. Kaya nagsimula na ulit magkwento si Ma'am.

"Okay, sabihin nating napunta sa isang place kung saan pag e-eksperimentuhan sina Yvaine and Yvette. Then pinaghiwalay silang dalawa. 'Yung isa ay ikinulong muna pansamantala. At 'yung isa naman ay pinag-eksperimentuhan na. They used the genes of the other twin to create a biological weapon na pwedeng magamit ng mga Nazi's. Or rather German Soldiers para sa kanilang kapakanan. Without any anesthesias and all."

"Oh, well that's sadistic." Komento ko. Na may kasamang facial expression pa na mukhang grumpy cat.

"Yes, Yvaine it is. At mayroon din na ginagamit naman ang katawan ng magkambal para pasabugin ito? I'm not well-versed in this field. But that's all I recall. Doctors are spreading viruses through the bodies of children to transmit diseases."

Nangaligkig ako sa aking mga naririnig. Grabe ang niranas ng mga tao noon sa kamay ng mga Nazi's nuh? Mabuti nalang talaga at natapos na 'yung mga kawalangyaan na 'yon.

Our class ended. Medyo nakaramdam ako ng excitement dahil after ng lunch break namin ay magkakaroon kami ng short program sa court, kasi sasabihin na ang bus number namin for our field trip tomorrow.
