Stepping outside into the hot morning air, a young creamy lioness with dark brown spots jumped around in the dirt. Her blue eyes shining with excitement as she pranced around playing with stones, she looked behind her to see her sister who was a dark cinnamon with a creamy muzzle, underbelly and paws with dark sea blue eyes. She smiled at her and padded over to her sister, purring as she approached her older sister. "Morning Sakabi!" She greeted, Sakabi scoffed and rolled her eyes at the lioness cub. "Father is looking for you" she warned. "Don't make him mad again, it's something you always manage to do" she walked off with a rude huff, the small lioness crept into the large cave of the outlands. Staring inside she saw her father and mother staring down at her, judgmental eyes causing her to tremble. "Y-yes father? Sakabi told me I was wanted?" She held her posture straight and spoke as proper as she could. "You didn't bring back any food last night, hyenas ravaged through our pile and took everything because you didn't seal the food hole!" Her father growled, leaning down and growling at her. "You will go and bring our food back, you will not be allowed to return until you have at-least one thing" the lioness shook her head. "No that's too dangerous father, hyenas? They'll have me as food!" She was pinned to the floor by the massive paw of her father. "Better you then MY food" he laughed, letting her go as she scrabbled upwards and away from him.

"Go... NOW!" She scampered out of the den and through the outlands, her heavy panting echoing. Stopping and panting she finally could settle, tears spilling down her cheeks as she sobbed. "Why must they always be like this to me... what's wrong with me?" As she turned a corner she had unfortunately bumped into a large hyenas, his fangs bared. "Well, well what a lucky day for me" he cackled, licking his lips as he launched towards the cub. "HELP!" She screamed, the hyena chased after her as she slid and stumbled along rocks. Her paw twisting as she fell down and down a steep hill, her head smacking onto the ground. As she rolled and rolled she felt herself beginning to get weak, her head hammering once she came to a rolling stop near a river bed.

Several hours later

The cub returned home wet, beaten and bruised. Tears stained her cheeks as she silently walked into the freezing den, she slept seperate from her family in her nest she had made herself. Nuzzling her nose into her paws and curling her tail around her paws, her fur fluffed up as she struggled to keep herself warm on the icy cold stone floor. Her teeth chattered and she teased her body, shivering now awakening her mother. "Did you manage to bring back the food?" She whispered, the cub kept her head down and ignored her mother this was her final straw. Her mother stood up, her multi-coloured eyes shining in the darkness of the den. "Answer me when I speak" her tone raised. Hinting that she wasn't afraid to wake her father up, The cub stared up at her mother with her sad blue eyes. "Leave me alone, I want to sleep" her mother growled in offence and leaned down. "Do NOT show such disrespect!" Her tone was loud which awoke her sister. "Don't test mother, you know you don't want father to give you a punishment" the cub stood, her tail raised high. "Do not speak to me! None of this is your business sakabi!" She warned, her sister scoffed and rolled her eyes laying back down. "How dare you'" her mother snarled, her father awoke making the cub back up and sit still. "What is this bickering you fools are hollering?" He snapped, towering over the 3 females. The cub began to sniffle, tears daring to drop from her eyes as she sat there staring at the floor, all the hatred hitting her like a massive wave.

This small and frail cub was hated, her mother, father and sister all despised her and for what? The lion cub didn't know, she faced her family with her back crying into her tiny paws

This small and frail cub was hated, her mother, father and sister all despised her and for what? The lion cub didn't know, she faced her family with her back crying into her tiny paws. She couldn't handle it, she wanted to run away and never come back, but she knew better than that. There was no way she could survive or have protection, she'd starve or get eaten by hyenas like she nearly had been thanks to her father. This cub was not going to give up, she'd have her revenge and show her family how much pain they had caused her, sadness soon turned into fury and she let her claws slide out.
