Chapter 13

Arshita's Pov

"Mom you remember the rule no.1 told you right? Insulting your daughter isn't allowed, specially when we're at Manish's house" I said while I was driving the car as we were headed to Manish's house as he had invited both of us today!

Manish is such a sweetheart. He literally seems like some guy who comes out of the literal novels as those perfect guys, handsome ceo and the sweetest guy ever! I mean he is always so considerate and genuine, it's doesn't even feel like that I've known him just for a month now as he just seems so familiar and close.

I know I had always denied to meet him whenever my mom used to mention her friend's son, as I wasn't even interested in meeting any guy until I knew he was Manish, I'm actually glad that mom had set up that blind date for us that day. Manish is one of those guys with whom anything can't go wrong anyway!

"Okay Arshu! You've been telling me that since we left the house, I feel like you're my mother" Mom said bringing me out of my thought I took a quick glance at her giving out a look.

"Great! Don't worry, you're still my mom. I don't have any intentions of becoming a mom so soon" I said smiling cheekily while mom just smiled widely saying, "I wish you would, I can't imagine if my grandchildren would look like you or Manish?"

"MOM!" I shouted almost stepping on the break as we stopped on a signal and I looked at her widening my eyes as I said, "Here goes the rule number two! You're not allowed to say these cheesy things about me and him"

"Fine! Whatever" Mom said nodding her head and I just shooked my head while murmuring, "It's not even like we're dating or something. We're just friends okay"

"How can you be just friends with someone so hot as Manish?" Mom asked me and I gave her the weirdest look, how can a mom say something like this to her daughter?

"Apki aisi baatein sunke mujhe bhi lagta hai ki I'm the mom, what are you even talking about?" I said and mom just chuckled as she finally stopped saying weird stuff.

We finally reached Manish's house after fifteen minutes of ride and got out of the car as I looked at myself in the rear view adjusting my hair when someone spoke up from behind,"You look great as always Arshu, no need to check"

I turned around to find Manish standing on his door smiling at me widely, I grinned as I walked upto him and said, "Thank you, you know you're really good at this thing!"

"What thing?" Manish asked raising an eyebrow and I smiled saying, "Complimenting people, you always know what to say"

"It's not like that, I guess it just happens when I'm with you! Naturally, you know" Manish said and I smiled as I hugged him slightly saying, "I'm flattered. Thanks for inviting us Manu!"

"I'm glad you came Arshu! Please come in" Manish said when mom came from behind and gave a side hug to him as she gave both of us a teasing smile and said, "You guys are seriously so cute, let's go inside or I wouldn't be able to stop adoring you both"

"Thank you, I appreciate the thought" Manish said kissing mom's hand and she smiled saying, "Such a gentleman, I hope you and Arshu -"

"Mom rule no.2" I said before she could complete her sentence because I knew something cheesy was going to come out, while mom just sighed while murmuring a fine as she went in and we both followed her while Manish couldn't stop smiling at mom.

We all came inside when Manish's mom walked upto us and hugged mom immediately as she said, "It's been so long Maya"

"I know right" Mom said as they both smiled at each other while I and Manish were busy looking at both of them when his mom looked towards me and walked upto us the next moment as she caressed my face saying, "You're just as beautiful as Manish described Arshita. I'm so glad to meet you sweetie"
