Shriya's Pov :

It's Arshita and Manish's engagement today .... I was almost ready and was looking at myself in the mirror but my mood was a little off and my mind was lost somewhere else.

My phone started ringing causing me to jerk out of my thought and I looked at the called ID to see it was Abhishek's call "Yess Abhay" I asked while sighing as I put the phone on speaker

"Are you ready?" Abhishek asked while I get a final look at myself "Yepp almost" I said as I looked away from the mirror and walked up towards my bed.

"Great then be ready .... I'll be there to pick you up in 10 minutes" Abhishek said while I scoffed "You'll come to pick me up.... Why?" I asked.

"Did I heard you saying .... Why?? " Abhishek asked in a questioning tone whereas I shake my head "I mean ... I and Shubman are coming together... Why will you specially come for me here" I asked whereas he sighed on the other end.

"C'mon chia ..... It's not specially.... You are my girlfriend!" Abhishek said while I smiled lightly "Be ready ... I'll be there soon okay" Abhishek said.

"Okay!" I said and ended the call .... I went downstairs to ask Shubman if he was ready but to my surprise he was not .... He was just sitting on the sofa quietly lost in his deep thoughts.

I raised my eyebrow as I walked up towards him but he was soo lost that he didn't even noticed me "Shubi?" I said slowly but he didn't responded "Shubi!" I said again while keeping my hand on his shoulder

He came out of his chain of thoughts and looked towards me "Yeah" He asked slowly as he sighs while sitting properly on the couch.

"Where were you lost .... I called you like three times" I asked him whereas he shakes his head "It's nothing.... Was thinking about some work .... Btw why are you soo ready" Shubman asked while I gave him a look.

"Are you pretending that you don't remember about Arshita and Manish's engagement or you seriously forgot?" I asked with a question look on my face whereas he sighs.

"Ohh yeah.... yeah .... Arshita's engagement" Shubman said in a low voice "Exactly.... Go and get ready we have to leave" I said while keeping my hands on my waist.

"Uhmm.... I was thinking that you only go to the engagement.... I have some work to complete.... Plus I'm not in a mood also" Shubman said whereas I gave him a look "c'mon Shubi.... She specially invited both of us.... It will not look good if you will not come" I said.

"It will not even matter chia .... And I and her never even shared such a good bond that it will effect her that I'm attending the engagement or not" Shubman said with a straight face.

"It's not a point of being effected or not but it's a normal courtesy Shubi .... And you just have to go and sit there only .... No one's gonna make you work there!" I said while trying to make him understand.

"Chia... I don't wanna go .... Please .... You go and enjoy" Shubman said while releasing a breath "Fine .... If you will not go then I'm also not going" I said while crossing my arms and sitting down beside him while making a face.

"For God sake chia!" Shubman said rolling his eyes whereas I didn't said anything "Why are you behaving like a small kid?" Shubman said groaning while I turned towards him.

"When you can treat me like a small kid then why can't I even behave like one .... I'm just going to call Abhay and told him to not to come" I said while taking out my phone.

"Come.... Was he coming to pick you up" Shubman asked whereas I nodded "Yeah he was but now I'm just gonna call him and ask him to not to come" I said when he snatched the phone from my hand.
