Chapter 26

Arshita's Pov

It had been two long weeks after our not so disastrous trip to Alibaug! I wouldn't exactly say that it wasn't a nice trip because besides Shubman beating the shit out of Abhishek and ruining their proposal, everything else seemed to be pretty good, and anyhow he had to finally give in and give his consent to them!

Manish had been acting a bit weird since these last two weeks, I mean not weird in a way that was bad for our relationship, but he just seemed to be trying too hard to tell me somethings but then always being reluctant about it! Manish was no doubt the best boyfriend anyone could ever have, and I considered myself completely lucky in that case. He always just seems to be too cautious of everything that happens between us, and sometimes I feel like he's too good to be with me.

And on the other hand, lonely ass had been suspiciously less active, in a way as if he was trying to stop himself for asking something that he had been pressing back again and again, but between all this, our rare relationship kept going on like normally and it was as if we knew each other too much personally even if we had never met!

My chain of thoughts was broken when I heard the banging of our neighbor house's door! And it was undoubtedly Shubman who looked annoyed as he was walking towards my garden where I was sitting with my laptop trying to write something for my book!

I kept looking at Shubman as he came and stopped in front of my garden table and stared at me, "What did I do now?" I murmured while sighing and he cleared his throat making me look up at him as he took the chair in front and sat down while I was giving him weird looks!

"Nothing! I was just talking a walk around the garden" Shubman said looking here and there while I rolled my eyes asking, "You take a walk while sitting on a chair? That too in my garden instead of yours?"

"Ohh hey, you've done quite a good job for new years eve! Your house looks great" He said trying to ignore my question while looking at the house which mom had gotten decorated with all her might because it was new year's eve today!

"I asked why are you here?" I asked him again because it was very rare or almost impossible of him to come to my house and be so casual, "And I said I was taking a walk" he said gritting his teeth and I kept looking at him because I wasn't convinced by that answer.

"But you weren't, you just banged your door and came here, and now you're talking like a crazy man who's just lost! Shubman sb kuch thk thak hai na, or maybe your craziness had reached it's peak, should I call a doctor for you?" I asked him keeping my hand under my chin resting them on the table with a cheeky smile and Shubman just made a face.

"Ughhh why am I even here?" Shubman murmured while banging his head on table and I nodded my head while saying, "Exactly. Mai bhi yahi jan'na chahti hu!"

"Actually Chia wanted me to do this thing and I don't want to that thing, but she's forcing me to do it, and that thing is raising my frustration level, specially in front of you whom I have nothing to do with, you get it?" Shubman blabbered all at once and I kept staring at his face with a confused look.

"NO! Tumhare monologue ka ek bhi word mujhe smjh nhi aaya, are you really okay, I don't want a crazy neighbor! Please, I'm genuinely worried for you" I said and he just signed while running a hand through his head saying, "There you go again, koi humesha senseless baatein kaise kr skta hai?"

"I'm the senseless one here? Seriously? I need to tell Chia that her brother needs doctor" I said getting up from my chair and Shubman gave me a look as he also got up, "You're not going anywhere! Just do your work, I'm leaving, I'm done" He said while holding back my arm and I turned to him amused!
