Hunt: Deviant Alert! Invader!

Author's Note: the fight scene in this chapter was written as if it were being watched. More or less. So the music choice follows the fight scene, and helped collect my thoughts when writing. I don't expect anyone to read fast or read this then listen to the song to imagine the scenes. If you do, you could see which parts align with what. I hope you enjoy this chapter. I will do more of these musical references to the show and games in future parts.

The heavy footsteps persist to head in their direction. Ryuji and Midoriya both take a Max potion to regain their strength. What they saw next was shocking. An Arzuros on all fours with glowing threads on its limbs. Normally they are a blue color but this deviant has its forearms, feet, eyes, and upper body-fur blood-red. A large blood-red mohawk adores its head and is one of the largest Arzuros in the wild.

On the back of the Crimson Bear are two Felynes. One with short sleek black fur while the other was shaggy black fur with green tips and highlights. The Arzuros barrels through the pack of Izuchi and causes the greater one to fall back. The two felynes jump off and tumble towards the two boys. The slick black one hits Ryuji and the green tip one hits Midoriya. The two felyne mew and groan before they look up. The two boys got a better look at them.

Both wearing little cages on their waists, two small bugs were flying in the cages. Midoriya looked at them and was shocked to see them. He pulls out his notebook from his back pocket. Flipping through the pages until he found it.

"Wirebugs! This type of bug is only used by the Tailrider clan! Oh my All Might! No other Hunter has seen them use it so close! We are the first! People couldn't get close because of how the Tailriders act around people!" Midoriya kept mumbling about the information known about them but one of the Felyne spoke in his native tongue.

"Nya meow mow Nya."

"What did it say?" Ryuji asks as he glances at the slick black fur one.

"Oh, he said I talk too much," Midoriya mumbled as he looked at them.

"Oh! You can comprehend us! Wonderful!" The shaggy felyne exclaimed.

"Yes and no. I'm not fluent in the felyne language but I can speak and understand."

"Hmm, I see. So, if you will excuse us, humans. We need to..." the sleek black felyne steps towards the Arzuros but falls panting. A violet fur felyne rushes in to help the sleek black one.

"No no, it's fine, daughter. I can fight. Just tired." The black felyne spoke. Ryuji walks up to the fallen felyne and crouches down.

"We will help you. Get some rest. We can hunt this bastard and our target. Besides," Ryuji smirks as he lights a small flame on his index finger. "I won't hold back. All I ask is that you offer my friend your wirebugs."

Ryuji watches the violet fur felyne beg to the stubborn black fur felyne. The shaggy fur felyne also speaks which makes the black fur felyne relent. Standing up completely and walking to Midoriya. Handing him the cage and the two small wire bugs come out. The two bugs buzz around him before they wrap their silk wire around his hands and weapons.

"Ready?" Ryuji asks Izuku, and he turns to look at his brother.

"Now... I'm prepared to hunt," Izuku said with a smile on his face. The shaggy-haired felyne stays beside midoriya. It kinda looks like his hair honestly. The violet fur felyne goes to Ryuji. "I guess we have palicos now. Let's go!"

The boys wait for an opening. They forgot they were hunting a Great Izuchi but the Redhelm Arzuros was fighting off the horde of Izuchi. None of the monsters acknowledge the boys or the felynes since their dominance over the territory is vital. The moment they saw the Arzuros lift the Great Izuchi off the ground and slam it onto the ground hard; that's when the boys decide to rush at the Arzuros. Their eyes flickering blue and seeing red lines against the weak points of the ruffian bear. The blue hue vanished as they remember when they were young. The first day they hung out after school.
