After Mei Li and Wang Lei sat in the car there was an awkward silence. Seeing the tense atmosphere and Wang Lei's glare saying 'Get out of the car', Assistant Wen went out for a while. Wang Lei knew Mei Li had a lot of questions to ask him and she indeed had so Wang Lei and Mei Li both at the same time thought to initiate a conversation and break the awkward silence.
"Actually I-" Both of them said this at the same time. After realising they were saying in sync they both chuckled and Wang Lei thought to lead the conversation.
"We meet again Mei Li. What a coincidence." Said Wang Lei.
"Was it? I don't think coincidences are like this." Says Mei Li.
"Coincidences like these are called artificial coincidences. These coincidences are made up to look like a coincidence." Replied Wang Lei.
"I really don't understand a single word you said. By the way how come it's you?" Asked Mei Li.
"What do you mean by 'it's me'." Asked Wang Lei frowning.
"I meant that I saved you around one week ago and you, almost recovered, was standing today in front of me as my groom." Said Mei Li.
"I know and I am grateful to you so I decided to marry you." Says Wang Lei.
"I don't want to get married. What I want is just to peacefully complete my uni life and get a job to live independently. Tell me what should I do now." Mei Li asked being upset.
"Don't be upset. You helped me when I was dying so I'll help you in return to show my gratitude." Said Wang Lei.
"Oh! Then how to do you plan to help me. By marrying me. This is not a help to me but a torture. This all may seem like a joke to you but to me this is like end of my life. I can't divorce you or else my dad will beat me to death and if I go to university, this marriage will affect my studies and career. Now tell me do you have any way to solve it." Mei Li said filled with anger without expressing it, in a calm posture.
"I'm sorry I didn't consider you. I just wanted to have a hold of you so I thought marrying you would be a solution for me but I didn't respect you. How about we together find a solution. I promise I'll help you instead of making troubles and being a burden." Says Wang Lei.
"(It seems like right now she is angry. I'll tell her that I love her later on. I have to find a way to calm her down right now.)" Wang Lei further thinks after saying those lines to Mei Li.
