Becoming guardian fairies meant finishing your studies. Finishing school meant leaving Alfea. Leaving Alfea meant saying goodbye to the Winx... Can you, for once, be happy? Can we, for once, live like normal girls? Musa wracks her brain with these questions, these thoughts, while her iPod plays her favorite playlist. She shakes her head, making her long blue tails move: she still had to get used - after one year - to the change of hairstyle. She gets out of bed, heading for the balcony: it was a beautiful mid-May day, she would be celebrating her nineteenth birthday at the end of the month, and more.
"Mmm..." she sighs, looking at the horizon.
"Knock knock! Lonely sparrow?!" says Stella shrieking and jerking her around. Musa turns around, walking back into the room.
"Well? Still in your pajamas! We're going shopping in Magix, hurry up! Today is Saturday!!!"
Musa huffs as she rolls her eyes, then lets out a light laugh.
"Yeah, I'm moving, I'm moving..." she says heading to the bathroom for a quick shower. Stella was unique in the way she did things but she often and willingly blew poor Muse's nose. After the shower, Melody's fairy guardian put on a pair of denim shorts, a yellow top and a light white cotton cardigan; on her feet she put a pair of white sneakers: Stella would have made her and the others walk around the mall at least ten times, up and down... better be comfortable! She combs her hair, opting for a braid.
"I'm ready!" she says catching up with the others.
"Thank goodness! There would have been no point in going out without you today, since we have to get clothes for YOUR birthday party!" says Stella.
"Yes! Plus, it's a great chance to have some fun, go to the beach and enjoy our last moments together..." says Aisha, a little sad. She was going to miss her friends, even that petulant Stella!
Musa smiles. She adored Aisha... with her and Flora she had bonded a lot, not to mention her already existing and solid friendship with Tecna and not disdaining the company of Bloom and Stella. She felt lucky, in her own small way, to have such friends. That's why, before leaving for Melody, she wanted to enjoy some of their company.Leaving Alfea, Musa didn't stop looking at her cell phone for a moment... She and Riven hadn't heard from each other in a couple of days. They hadn't had a fight, on the contrary. After the battle against Valtor and the Trix and after the misunderstanding with Nabu, their relationship had improved. But Riven was like that: today present, tomorrow who knows... gone. Flora had sensed right away that something was wrong with her.
"Are you okay honey?" he asked her while they were on the bus.
"Oh? Yes...yes, I'm fine..." She smiles "just...here, in a week, it's our anniversary. It's true, during the second year, I had some ups and downs with him, but in the end, we took heart and expressed our feelings before we defeated Lord Darkar." She says looking first at Flora and then at Aisha. It was thanks to the fairy of Andros, who pushed her into the arms of the dark handsome man, that she and Riven are now together. She and Riven had started dating as bedfellows, with no romantic strings attached, but Musa was crazy about him and it would be hard to resist the urge to say "I love you" to him in those moments of pure physiological venting.
"The ups and downs you always have..." sighs Flora. Then she smiles "but you don't fight as much as before, this is a step forward!"
Musa nods. Arriving at their destination, they get off and head straight to the mall, dragged by Stella. Aisha walks next to Muse, looking at her.
"Listen Muse...how would you like to get a little something for your anniversary?" she says, winking at her.
"And...and what!" she asks blushing like a little girl.
