numbness; unable to think, feel, or react normally. Hiraya was now laying in the hospital bedroom.
Cold air was taking over the quiet atmosphere. Hiraya's mother was informed that her daughter had gotten into an accident.
Since her grandma was too old to take care of her—assisting her needs, beomgyu came to the rescue.
No one still knows who did this, it is still remaining unknown.
the sound of the monitor was the only sound that was heard in the room, beomgyu was sitting on the couch, his hands in a prayer way.
whenever he looks at hiraya all he could feel was pain, regret and guilt. I should've walked with her, i should've been with her—thoughts like that kept running inside the boy's head.
a knock on the door was heard, “we’re currently not accepting visitors, the mother of the patient said so—” to his surprise, sunghoon came to visit with bags of fruits.
“how is she?” sunghoon asked, getting a chair and sat beside her. “the doctor's said she's currently fine. but, we shouldn't get conplacent since we don't know what possibilities might happen.”
sunghoon held her hand, he couldn't help but drop a tear. “Can I ask a alone time?” he looked at beomgyu who agreed. “15 minutes.”
”I’m sorry hiraya, I should've been with you.” he wiped his tears and caressed hiraya's hair. “please survive, I still have many things to tell you.” sniffs were heard from him.
“I need to go but before that, I have something to tell you.” he walked near hiraya and kissed her forehead.
“You won't hear this but. . .”
“Hiraya, i love you.” he whispered as he smiled and signalled beomgyu that he was done.
12:45 am
slowly, her eyes opened revealing to her a white ceiling and a dark room that only the lamp beside her was the source of light.
she looked at her arms and immediately knew she was at the hospital, she observed the room and saw beomgyu.
“b. .beomgyu.” she called out alerting the boy to immediately stand up and go beside her. “is everything alright? are you okay?” he immediately asked her.
“why am i here?” she asked him, beomgyu stopped for awhile when he came into realisation. “hiraya, don't you remember anything?”
she held her head, “I. .I can't remember anything.” beomgyu felt goosebumps with her response.
“but do you remember me?” hiraya looked at him in the eyes and nodded her head. “I do.” she answered.
he told hiraya to wait as he calls the doctor to inform her being awake. “how come she doesn't remember anything, doc?” worries filled up beomgyu's head.
