“Good morning hiraya!” A smile from her
mother made her feel happy. Heeseung was awake too. “You woke up first, huh?” She told her.

“I think a good morning is the best way to greet someone.” He joked, the house was filled with happiness and it was good.

“You two get dressed up, we're going to eat halo-halo.” Hiraya looked to heeseung and seeing him smile made her smile too.

“I’m excited!” The boy never fails to make hiraya smile, giggle and laugh. “Well, you better prepare fast or you're going to be left behind.”

Halo-Halo

Tatlong halo-halo po.” (three halo-halo please.)

When their order arrived, they all look at heeseung to see if he would like it. “So? do you like it?” Hiraya's mother asked.

“This is the best food in the world!” Hiraya's mom giggled because of heeseung. “Well, it's good thing hiraya brought you here in the Philippines, you finally got to know how halo-halo tastes like.” her mom added.

“Oh, hiraya. I'm going to the office later and I will probably be home late again. You don't mind if I leave the house to you two, right?”

Hiraya smiled, “not at all!” she replied. “Thank you.”

They kept talking about different topics and later on went home since they can't stay out late.

“See you later, mom.” She said with her hand waving and her face wearing a bright smile. Closing the door, she looked at heeseung and crossed her arms.

“Well, what to do? I'm bored.” Heeseung scratched his head. “I don't know, do you have board games?” she proceeded to find something on her room.

Hours of playing, boredom swallowed them again. “Hey hee?” she called out to the boy who was busy figuring out his next move in chess.

“Yes babe?” he really loves teasing people. “Woah, you just ate halo halo and now you're calling me babe? Calm down.” Hiraya told him and he laughed at her.

“Kidding aside, What do you need?” He's such a sweet boy. Hiraya thought to herself how lucky she was to find someone like heeseung to be beside her.

“I’m bored playing this game and I'm hungry again.” She began to lie down on the sofa and heeseung proceeded to clean the board games.

“What do you want? Ice cream?” Who doesn't love ice cream? Hiraya smiled and her eyes smiled with her too when she heard the word ice cream.

“I’ll just get my money upstairs.” Heeseung stopped her causing her to look at him. “It’s on me, don't worry.”

Hiraya excitingly went to the convenience store leaving the boy behind. “Hiraya, wait up!” Heeseung ran to the convenience store to catch up.

Panting, he went inside to find hiraya picking between vanilla and cookies and cream. in his eyes, he was like a child that can't decide on what flavor to choose and will probably end up buying both.

“Final decision?” hiraya sighed, “hmm, I’ll choose the—” heeseung cutted him off buy getting two flavors.

“Why choose when I can buy you both flavors.” She followed him to the cashier and stood beside him.

“Hiraya, you should probably go home first and I'll follow. your mom left the house to us, remember?” He said, hiraya agreed since he bought her two ice creams.

“Alright, come back right away!” she said while running back home. Heeseung couldn't help but smile while looking at her.

Is rhis the things you do when you're falling for someone? He thought.

Hiraya

Opening the door, she sat at the sofa and waited for heeseung. Later, she heard a knock on the door.

Opening it with a smile, “Heeseu—” It was not the person he expected to appear. Seeing him infront brought back the memories she didn't want to remember again.

Her heart beated rapidly and her hands shaked. “What are you doing here?” she asked as she tried to bring herself together.

Her  real abusive step father was right infront of her.

“Your father just missed you so much! what's with your look?” She couldn't believe this was happening.

“Go away.” she said patiently, “Hiraya, your father is here for a visit. It would be better to welcome him with a good greeting, right?”

“Go away!” she shouted, she couldn't handle it anymore. she was scared, angry, it was all mixed feelings.

“I guess your mother didn't teach you good manners.” He reeks of alcohol so much she had to cover her nose. “We are done with you, leave us alone!” hiraya stated.

“Have some respect!” is it going to happen again? she thought. There his step father raised his arms with a glass of beer in his hands ready to throw it to hiraya.

someone help! she called out in her mind.

Then the door opened and it was heeseung with her mom. “Hiraya!” her mom rushed to her and hugged her.

“Stop or I will call the police!” Heeseung told the man. Her step father chuckled. “You got a boyfriend now, huh?”

Umalis ka na!” (Leave!) Hiraya's mother began to dial the police's number. “Oh don't you dare call the police on me!”

But he was too late, soon enough the police arrived. Heeseung rushed to the girl and hugged her tight.

“I’m sorry, I shouldn't have let you go home all alone. It's my fault, forgive me.” Hiraya's tear fell to his shirt as he patted the girl's back.

“I’m so sorry, hiraya.” He told her once again. “Come on, let's get you some water.” He began to assist hiraya to sit on the dining table.

“Stay there, I'll get you some water.” When he returned, he held the girl's hand and wiped her tears.

“Thank you heeseung.” The boy was confused, why thank him? “Hiraya, you know. . it's my fault. I shouldn't let you go home all alone, I was too careless—”

Hiraya unexpectedly hugged him tight, “Heeseung, thank you. Just thank you.”

“I called out for help  in my head, I didn't know what to do. Thank God you came.” The boy hugged her tighter.

“I will always be here.” He whispered.

I called out to you and you came, we heard each other's voices.
