Jonathan pov.

Clarissa is staring straight at her mother with pure chaos in her eyes. Not even fire, I see a war going on in her eyes. Both the green as the black one. And I am very pleased to see it happen. She is looking at her mother with a daring smile.

"To protect you, Clary." Jocelyn answers. A sign of fear lingering in her words. "To protect you for... Well this." She says and waves around.

"For what?" Clarissa spat out. "Because I do really think I am missing a whole lot for the way you 'protected' me." I see Jocelyn swallow and adjust her hair behind her ears.

"You know what I mean." Jocelyn says fast and sort of stern. I scoff and Jocelyn looks up at me.

"For me, right?" I speak up. "And father."

"Not for you, Jonathan." Jocelyn says. The way she says my name makes me want to puke. "I thought you were dead..." she almost whispers at me.

"No, I think you mixed things up." I say while shaking my head. "I think, you wanted me dead so bad, that you started mixing it up." Jocelyn shakes her head and wanted to say something, but father interrupted her.

"Listen, children." Father speaks up and me and Clarissa look up at him. "Jonathan you know this already, but you are not thinking straight." He hisses my way. "When your mother left, I set the house on fire, making her think we were dead."

"Okay good for you." Clarissa spat at father. "But I still did not get my answer." And she looks back at Jocelyn. I do too. At this point Jocelyn is blushing and playing nervously with her hair.

"I protected you because I thought Valentine was still alive." Jocelyn speaks up. "That's why I brought you to the mundane world."

"And raise me as a mundane?" Clarissa asks and shakes her head. "What was your plan? Never tell me about all this?"

"No!" Jocelyn says quickly. "I wanted to tell you, together with Luke on your birthday. But you didn't have any time to talk to me."

"Well if you had told me it was real serious then I would've made time for you!" Clarissa says with a harder tone. She is getting feistier every minute and I like it. Clarissa is sitting straightened up with her shoulders high and her chin slightly in the air. "Why did you never tell me I have a brother." Clarissa says again.

"I thought it would only hurt you more to know that..." Jocelyn says. "I just wanted to protect you..."

"Well congratulations, Jocelyn!" Clarissa shouts at her and stands up with her new demon speed, the chair where she was seated is being pushed with such a force that it crashes against the wall. All in broken pieces on the floor now. "You did an awful job at it!" She shouts again. Father is watching Clarissa with a fascinating look and Jocelyn is just in shock. Me? I am smiling and enjoying this scenery. "When you left, I was alone! And if Jace wouldn't have been there I would be dead!" My little sister screams now.

"I had to hide you!" Jocelyn protests. "For the bad things that were going on, I couldn't risk letting Valentine know where you are. I couldn't..."

"Let father make her the way I am." I finish for her. I know she wants to say it. Jocelyn looks back at me and narrows her eyes for a second. That's what we do too... me and Clarissa... I shake it off and listen to what Jocelyn has to say.

"No I..." she stutters out and does not know what to say.

"Well great protecting mom." Clarissa hisses. She puts her hands on the table and leans forwards towards Jocelyn. "I don't know if you have noticed this." Clarissa says in a very dangerous low tone while she waves at her eyes. "But you are a little bit too late for that, now aren't you?" She grins at her mother. "You know you took so much from me, you even paid Magnus money to steal my memories!" She growls out. "You took my brother; you changed my whole life." Clarissa hisses and I see I have to get in the middle before this goes wrong... She will regret it, I know she will. "And the funny thing about it is, that it isn't even yours." Clarissa chuckled softly. "You took it all away from me, all of it." I stand up and put my hand on Clarissa's shoulder. "Just how did you think I would react, and you better not think I am EVER going to forgive you for this!" She screams out in her mother's face. "I may be able to talk to you as usual, but no matter what you do." She says dangerously calm again. "This will always be in my heart, dearest mother." Clarissa whispers with a smile. Clarissa then stood up straight, grabbed my hand and pulled me with her towards the hallway. She turns towards me and grabs both of my hands. Clarissa then looks down and twists around my bracelet which opened a portal for us. She jumps through and pulls me with her. We end up in a forest. She let go of me and turns around with a growl.
