(Tam's POV:)

I wake up to find that Keefe's arms are wrapped around me. He's sound asleep. I realize a moment later that school ended an hour ago. I shake Keefe awake.

"Hrng.."

"Keefe! Wake up!"

He rubs his eyes.

"What?"

"I think we overslept."

"Huh? what time is it?"

"I don't know, but the whole school is empty."

On cue, Tam's imparter suddenly lit up, vibrating in his pocket. He picked it up and answered the call.

"It's Linh."

"TAM! WHERE ARE YOU?!"

"At Foxfire."

"WHY?!"

"Me and Bangs boy were just spending some quality time together."

Keefe rests his head on my shoulder so that Linh can see him. I growl inwardly. Dang it, Keefe! Linh's eyebrows disappear under her hair and she grins.

"Oh I see. Carry on, then."

The imparter goes blank.

"KEEFE!"

He shrugs.

"It calmed her down, didn't it?"

I roll my eyes.

"Idiot.."

The imparter lights up again. Linh.

"Also, you and Keefe are coming to Havenfield, we're playing truth or dare. Teergan knows and he's fine with it."

I groan. Keefe, on the other hand, looks way too happy about that.

(Keefe's POV:)    (At Havenfield)

I step out of the light, followed by Tam, and I see the massive paddocks of Havenfield stretching through the hills. Sophie and the others run over to us.

"Where were you?!"

"What were you guys thinking?!"

"How many children are you expecting?"

The last question made me stop in my tracks.

"What was that?"

"They're both boys, Linh."

"Can we play Truth or dare now?"

(In Sophie's room)  

I sit next to Tam on Sophie's soft flower rug. We're sitting in a circle like yesterday. Except there's no bottle. 

"Who's going first?"

"I volunteer!"

Everyone looks at me.

"What? I never say no to a dare!?

Linh sits up.

"I dare you and Tam to demonstrate exactly what you did at foxfire!"

I feel my face go red. So does Tam's

"Really? That's the best you can come up with?"

"You gonna do it?"

"Yeah, sure, we didn't do anything, anyway."

"Yeah.. sure.."

I remember playing with Tam's hair, and how unexpectedly fluffy it was. Keefe! I knew it! I jump 

"AUGH! FOSTER!"

She smirks at me,

"The point is, you and Tam DID do something."

I scowl, and I pull Tam into the position on the bench. Everyone makes an aww... sound. Tam is bright red. I start playing with his hair, while we both glare at Foster. 

"When did I give you permission to invade my privacy, Miss F?"

But I don't mind that much, because now I get to do this with Bangs boy again. 

"I dibs daring Foster, and I'm going to make it extra nasty."

Foster nods.

"Sorry. I HAD to"

"I dare Foster to kiss Fitzy five times."

They both protest. Extremely. Loudly.

"You invaded my mind, that's what you get."

"Some best friend YOU are.."

I wink.

(Tam's POV:)

I can feel Keefe's long slender fingers playing with my hair, and I remember the feeling of his soft lips against mine. I close my eyes and try to keep my face as normal as possible. I can still feel a slight tingle on my neck.
