The End With You

A couple riding down the road in Kansas stopped on their breaks but the impact was already too late.

"Ugrhh." They heard the growling sound of an animal of some sort and they got out.

"Dam we hit something babe." The woman said getting out of the car.

"Oh shit it's a man, well a zombie and we hit him."

"We need to leave him he's dangerous."

"No we are not, he needs to get to a hospital. They have vaccines on hand and they can treat him."

"He's a zombie he could bite us."

"Look at him, he's out. Babe he needs help. I'm either gonna do it with you or with out you." The woman said trying to help up the zombie.

"Fine Jessie" he said as he helped lift the man up and put him into the back seat of the car.

They drove to the emergency side of the hospital and doctors came out with a gurney strapping the man down before injecting him with the vaccine.

The ER doctors watched as he tried to jolt forward and his skin color turned back to normal.

"Miranda." Ben mumbled over and over again.

"He has internal bleeding. We need to get him up to the o.r. quickly." The doctor called rolling him that way.

Ben groaned as he tried to sit up. "What the hell." Ben said shocked looking at the monitors, ivs and other tubes he was connected to.

The nurse came in and she smiled. "Our John doe has pulled through. Welcome back." She said smiling.

Ben nodded. “I’m going to call your physician to come and speak with you. Then we will take the next step in your recovery and patient care."

"How long was I out?" Ben asked as the doctor moved his legs and checked his pupils.

"Almost 7 months. Us doctors were here rooting for you very hard doctor Warren and I'm so glad to finally get your name." The woman spoke.

"So when can I go home?" Ben asked urgently he wanted to find Miranda and tell her he made it. She was probably worried out of her mind.

"I want to monitor you for 3 days but if everything checks out good like you are now, you will be free to go and you can get back to Miranda." The woman teased.

"How did you."

"The day you were brought in from a car accident. You were saying it persistently." The doctor stated.

"Yeah, she's the love of my life." Ben told the doctor.

3 days passed and Ben was being discharged.

"Here you go." The nurse said handing him 150 dollars.

"What's this for." Ben asked curiously.

"You need money to get back to Seattle. I know you don't have I'd to get on a plane, so the bus was the only way."

"Thank you so much Nurse Tammy." Ben thanked.

"No problem. Have a good life Benjamin Warren." Tammy said and Ben walked outside

"Wow you were hit by a car. I'm glad they brought you in and that was so sweet of the nurse." Miranda said as she parked the car.

Miranda watched as Ben took the car seat out of the car and she grabbed the diaper bag before they walked inside to her town house.

"Do you have something specific you want for dinner." Miranda asked and Ben shook his head no.
