"One, two, three! And sliiiide! And gliiiide! Then up and down, twiiiirl and smile everyone! Make the audience stare at you and bow—okay stop!"

I was catching my breath then opening my water bottle as I held my chest. That was a workout. We were practicing for the prom dance in two days-time and I'm not getting any better. Ball dance isn't really fit for me, but when this is ballet, I would nail it.

I started to massage my toes, my current partner isn't a good dancer as well. Halos lahat ng mga steps, natatapakan namin ang aming mga paa.

Pumikit ako ng mariin habang dumadaloy ang malamig na tubig sa'king lalamonan. Natanaw ko na ang aking mga kaibigan na papunta sa'king from different directions. We were still on our usual uniform as a senior high school student. "How are you Jemi? We can suggest that you can have a different partner." Bia sat beside me while handing an ice pop.

Umiling na lamang ako. Hassle na kapag ganun, halos lahat maganda na ang partners, I guess I just need to bear him for a while, at staka dalawa naman kaming mali, it's like it's all his fault.

"Bakit ba kasi nag oo ka kaagad sa nerd na yun?"

Wiliam, that's the name of the guy I'm partnered on and just like all boys who wears huge glasses and has a not so good build in body is bullied and people call him a nerd. Tinaas ko ang aking dalawang kilay kay Bridget and held my hair to take off my high ponytail.

"He's not a nerd Bridget. He just loves reading, he doesn't have a godlike body because he doesn't like working out but you see he is healthy, that only determines that the food that is inside his stomach is good for him, don't make him feel bad if he looks not that good, because you never know what would crumble inside him. And he's nice, why wouldn't I say yes?"

Ngumuso si Bridget, feeling defeated as Kori hugged me tight and even fixed my hair while Bia is caressing her twin's face.

"Si Jemi lang naman pala ang makakasara ng bibig mo Bridge."

Bridget gave Kori a death glare then she went to be, hiding from my back. "Jemima oh! Bigyan mo nga ulit siya ng isang speech!" I laugh at her before we began to eat as our dancing instructor started to pick up us again.

Lumalaylay ang balikat ko habang naglalakad papunta sa aking body guard but before I could even go there, someone grabbed my waist tight as the person scooped me in a bridal position, I slightly scream but when I saw who the person is, my heavy breathing became normal.
