Chapter 40
"I'm so sorry mi amor." He kneeled in front of me, begging for forgiveness and tears still pouring in his eyes.
Hinawakan ko ang kanyang siko, he looks up to me as I smiled.
"It's okay. I wasn't hurt." I smiled weakly as he stood up, towering me and holding my hand pero bigla kong binawi 'yun at umiwas ng tingin.
I can see his serious expression though my peripheral vision.
"Tell me everything Jemima."
Biglang bumilis ang tibok ng aking puso dahil sa sinabi niya. This is the reason why I don't want him to follow me, ayokong madamay siya. Ayokong masayang lang ang aming paghihirap.
"There is nothing to tell." I simply replied and still looking away but he reached my eyes and glared at me!
"Explain to me everything." Giit niya.
"There is nothing to explain." I said again, avoiding his gaze but he grips my shoulder and pins me to the wall.
His face was burning red.
"Madami! You have tons of explaining to do! And I'm so mad at myself because I have an opportunity to make you suffer inside my company but damn it! How can I do it? Paano ko naman papahirapan ang babaeng mahal ko?"
Napalunok ako sa kanyang sinabi. So pinahihirapan niya ako, yun ang rason kung bakit nag dami niyang pinapagawa sakin at ganun ang trato niya sakin kumpara sa iba.
"Hale, let's not talk about it. Wala na tayo." Hirap na hirap na akong magsalita dahil sa lapit niya sakin.
"That's the big problem Jemima! You just proclaimed that we're done without even asking me if I would agree."
"What's done is done Hale. It's for the best."
