Finally he put up a photo that had his name on it, his real name, Roman Rose.

(This is big jump, we're going to May 1st, 2020)

Now that it been a few years, a lot of things has happened. As sad is it may be, Virgil and Roman had started to grow into more of frenemies. Thankfully they have start to become friends again in the last two-ish years.

Everyone's names have been revealed, everyone except River. Deceit (Janus) has begun to get along with Logic (Logan), Morality (Patton), and Thomas. Due to this, Roman was starting to peal off from everyone, and lately he's been feeling really shitty.

When they had finished an episode of Sander Sides, Roman went straight to his room, changing quickly into more comfortable clothes. Virgil was hanging out in his room drawing some outfit designs for River (Secrets). As he was about to finish up a drawing, he heard Roman crying.

At first, Virgil brushed off the noise, but the longer he sat there, the more it got to him. Virgil sighed as he set down his pencil and left to go check on Roman. When he got to Roman's door, he hesitated before knocking.

"Who is it?" Roman called out as he rubbed his tears away, not caring to look at the door.

"Uh, it's Virgil... Are you okay Princy?" Virgil waited for Roman's response, hearing him get up from bed. "You know you can talk to me right? You don't have to block everyone out, it's okay to be sad," Virgil said that not expecting a response but still wanting to validate his feelings.

Virgil waited for a little while but when he didn't get a response, he went to go back into his room when Roman opened the door, stopping Virgil in his tracks. "I'm not okay, Emo..."

Virgil study Roman's face for a moment, noticing the wet tears on his face and his red puffy eyes. "Princy, what's wrong?" Virgil moved closer to Roman, only to be pulled into the room.

Before he knew it, Roman had closed the door and slid down it to the floor. "Why does everything go wrong Virgil?"

Virgil frowned, feeling bad for the side. He sat down next to Roman, "Roman, what happened?"

Roman stared over at Virgil for a moment as more tears rolled down his cheeks, "I feel so useless... bad stuff just keep happening and I can't stop it! I'm so fucking useless!"

"Roman, you're no where near being useless, your Thomas' hero! His creativity! It's going to be okay, and hey if anything, I'm the one who should be feeling useless," Virgil says as he held Roman's hand.

"Virgil.. you're not useless, and I don't think that I'm Thomas' hero anymore..." Roman gripped Virgil's hand and then looked away from him, losing his grip.

"We're both pretty fucked up I guess," Virgil's eyes had started to fill with tears as he looked away from Roman and removed his hand.

"Mhm..." Roman hummed as he looked back at Virgil.

"Secrets is coming to pick up some sketches, but after do you wanna hang out?" Virgil asked as he wiped some of his tears and looked at Roman.

"We can hang out in my IBR (IBR stands for In-between Room, I wasn't sure what to call it so IBR it is)," Roman's eyes lit up as he spoke and he then wiped his tears.

Virgil laughed slightly, "Alright," he stood up from his spot and pulled Roman up.

A soft smile appeared of Roman's face and Virgil pulled his hood down. Roman then opened the door for Virgil, allowing for him to leave. "Thanks Emo, I'll see you in 2 hours?"

"2 hours it is, see you later Princy," Virgil waved to Roman before he disappeared into his room.

When Virgil had entered his room, he saw River sitting at his bay-window and looking out at the trees. "Hey Riv," Virgil said as he went to collect all the sketches off his desk.

"Hey V," River turned towards Virgil and got up from the window.

Virgil handed the sketches to River before they thanked him, but as she was getting ready to leave, Virgil asked them something, "How would you feel if I became friends with Roman?"

River looked back at Virgil, "I really don't care what you two do, y'all are adults. But just keep the R-rated stuff to yourselves. I gotta go, bye!" She waved and left, leaving Virgil red in the face.

2 hours later and Virgil had left his room to go find Roman. He found Roman running across the street from the woods. "Princy, be careful!" Virgil called as he went to the sidewalk. "What are you doing?" Virgil asked with a smile on his face.

Roman took a deep breath, trying to catch it before he gave a weak smile, "Tidying up that's all."

Virgil nodded before Roman pulled Virgil with him to a nice cabin in the woods. When they got there, Roman let Virgil's hand go and opened the door, holding the door open for Virgil.

Virgil stood there for a moment, hesitating. After a moment or two, he finally stepped into the cabin and had Roman following him.

Roman closed the door and went to a door that sat under the staircase. "You want me to go first?" Roman asked, knowing Virgil might still be a little tense.

Virgil nodded before Roman opened the door and went in, Virgil following. When he entered through the door, there was a bright light before a gorgeous forest came into view.

"C'mon Emo, we're going this way," Roman smiled and waited till Virgil followed him to start walking.

The farther they walked, the more the path they were on changed from dirt to gravel and then stone. Overtime the forest opened up into a town that had cottages, shops, restaurants and more. The more they walked, the more people they saw that Roman had made.

Virgil had begun to feel like he was getting déjà vu, like he'd been there before. Roman had obviously been there before as he had called this place home when he was alive. That's how these worlds work, the IBRs are designed to look like where their side once called home.

Roman led Virgil to a very familiar castle in the center of town. At first, Virgil chuckled before he realized what the castle was. "Roman..." Virgil mumbled before Roman towards him.

"What's up Emo?" Roman asked not noticing the change of appearance that came with the IBR.

"When did you visit Roseland before you died?" Virgil asked, still not looking at Roman.

"I grew up here," Roman said as looked back at his home.

Virgil's head snapped towards Roman, now noticing his different appearance. Roman had just below shoulder length chestnut brown hair with red highlights and a gray streak. He had heterochromia, with a green eye and a red eye. He also had more warm toned skin and had a band-aid patched to his jaw.

He had on a red and white cape that had a muted red rose on his right side. He was also wearing a black button up with a dark red sweater over it. He then had a sword on his hip and some brown-gray pants. He also wore a pair of brown boots. Finally, on his head, he had a gold crown with a ruby in it. He also had some star framed glasses and a pair of black cross earrings.

"Hey, why don't we go to the court yard." Roman said as glanced at Virgil.

Virgil nodded and looked down, then followed Roman. The castle looked exactly like he remembered it. Roman took Virgil to the courtyard that resided at the back of the castle.

When they got to the courtyard, the two boys sat down on one of the benches in the yard. Virgil continued to look down, not wanting to face reality. That was when Roman finally looked over and noticed Virgil's appearance.
