Virgil ran down the street on the light side's mind-scape and he was scared out of his mind. He was trying to get away from the dark sides. As an attempt of not getting caught, he ran towards the light side's house and once there he frantically knocked on the door.

The door opened to reveal a man in a prince-esk looking outfit. "Uh, how can I help you?"

Virgil was breathing heavily and could hardly speak. But he finally managed to get something out, "They're chasing me, they won't let me leave."

The prince pulled him inside and shut the door. He locked it before quickly pulling Virgil to the table and sitting him down at one of the chairs. He went to the kitchen, pulling a glass from the cupboard and filling it with water. When back over at Virgil, he handed it to him. Virgil seemed hesitant to drink what he was given, but the boy in front of him just gave a soft smile. "It's just water... from the fridge."

Virgil quickly chugged it, taking time to breathe in-between. When he finished the mug, he sat it down before pulling off his bags and setting them down around him. "Thanks, I uh- needed that."

The prince nodded and looked at Virgil. "Soooo, who was uh- chasing you?"

Virgil frowned, trying to avoid eye contact with the prince. His eyes darted to his hand as he fiddled with them as he spoke, "The dark sides were after.. me."

With a shocked look on his face, the prince spoke, "Those asses, I'm sorry about them."

"It's fine, that's what I get for being Anxiety."

"You're Anxiety?"

"Yeah, I'm the new guy."

"The room next to mine is open, if you want it. It was Cartoon Therapy's room but he's gone now so it's just there. There's some furniture if you need it." The prince now had hostility in his voice as he spoke to the new side.

"Thank you..."

The prince nodded before he stood up, "I'm Creativity by the way."

Virgil stood up and grabbed his bags and followed Creativity upstairs. While making their way to a once pink door, they passed by 3 other doors, each bearing a different color. "We'll repaint whatever you want painted but the door will change colors on its own." Roman says as he opens the door.

Virgil let out a sigh before stretching his back, "God damn it, I should have known," he mumbled in annoyance. The room was riddled in old evidence of the past owner's style. He tossed his bags into an unoccupied corner of the room. He ran a hand through his hair before pulling a screwdriver from his bag.

"What are you doing?" The side in white asks as he watches the boy pull the mattress off the frame and then sit down next to it.

"I'm taking the bed apart, it needs to go. I'm remodeling this bright ass room."

"Remodel? This room is perfectly fine."

"So you say, but I don't do these light ass colors. My eyes can't take it."

"Do you need help with anything?"

"Go get me food and we'll be fine."

Creativity rolled his eyes and left the room. When he came back, he brought a plate of toast and different types of jams with him. Virgil had already taken apart the bed frame and set it in the hallway and was now working on removing the shelves. "I brought you some toast if you want it."

"Yeah, that's fine.... thank you," Virgil said barely loud enough, while he pulled the shelf off the wall.

When Virgil finished, he and Creativity sat down in front of the window as it had begun to get dark. Virgil sat in front of the prince as he scarfed down the food given to him while Creativity drank some tea he made.

"Where are you going to sleep tonight, Anxiety?" Creativity asked just trying to make conversation.

Virgil looked up from his food and finished chewing, "I'll uh- just sleep on the mattress I have sheets for it."

"Anything else you want to do while it's still light out."

"I need to get paint so..."

"Alright let's go." Creativity stood up and went to the door, waiting for Virgil to follow him. The boys walked down to the large department store not too far from the house. When in the paint department, Virgil went up to the man standing at the counter.

"Hey! How can I help you?" An overly cheery employee asked Virgil.

"Uh, can I see what purples you have? I'm looking for something more muted."

The department store worker grabbed whatever shade swatches he could find of muted purples and set them on the counter in front of Virgil. "These are all the different shades we have that apply to what you may be looking for."

While Virgil read the brands and looked at the shades, Creativity took a call from another side asking about dinner. "Can I get this one? And like 3 or 4 buckets of it?"

The worker smiled and nodded before taking the swatches away and going to grab the buckets he had asked for. When he came back with them, he checked them out and they were on their way back to the house.
