Thomas closed his eyes and focused on that part of his mind, and before they knew it, they were standing in-front of the closed door of River's room.

Virgil sighed and tried the door, upon finding it locked he walked around the corner and down the hall to a window. The others peered down the hall to where he was, watching as he unlatched the window and climbed out, pushing the window shut behind him.

Virgil did this because he knew that River always kept her window unlocked. He pulled open her cracked window and climbed through it, finding that someone, probably River, had riffled through the room and taken a bunch of stuff with them. Virgil frowned and went to unlock the door, pulling it open.

"They're not here, they took a bunch of their stuff too," Virgil spoke as he stood to the side while everyone filed into the room.

"This is the other side's room?" Thomas asked as he picked up a sketch of a suit that had a stamp at the top that read 'FINISHED' in bright orange.

"Yeah, they're an artiest. They paint, write, draw, sew," Virgil mumbled as he went over to her vanity and started digging through it, looking for a small switch in the drawer. When he found it, he clicked it and the top center of the vanity popped up. Virgil closed the drawer and opened the popped up center to find it emptied of all that had originally resided in it, it now had just a note sitting in it.

"I found a note.." Virgil mumbled, tears slightly coming from his eyes before he rubbed them away.

"Read it Virgil, is Secrets okay?!" Patton asked, now worried about the person he had never really called his friend.

"It says, 'Hey V, I had feeling you'd be the one to find this. I'm really sorry for leaving, but I just can't be here anymore. I'm not Secrets, I'm not even supposed to be dead. I just want to live out my life with my husband, and I didn't get to have that because of all this. I'm going to miss you really, so come visit me.

You know I love you like a brother, but please tell the twins that I love 'em too. I know that my brothers and I aren't as close as you and I are but they are still my brothers. Also do me a favor and tell Patton that I'm sorry for being such a bitch all the time, Secrets is sorry too. I don't know about her but let him know that I've never really been a trusting person, especially to people who kind to literally everyone.

And to Logan, thank for being Remus and my friend. Be there for him will ya'. And yeah I know this letter isn't proper grammar. Finally to that shit head snake, thanks for all the cheap alcohol and expensive wine, Secrets appreciates it too. Also take care of my brother, or else.

P.S. I left everything I've made for everyone in their rooms.

P.S.S. I left you my recipes in the pocket of that jacket I gave you V. I'm going to go home and go into proper retirement with my husband, love you guys.' And that's where it ends." Virgil says as he folded the paper up and put it into his pocket.

"I wasn't aware that she was married," Logan commented as he pushed his glasses up.

"Why does she sound like she's referring to two different people when she talks about Secrets?" Patton asked as he held his hands.

"That's cause they are two different people, she was Secrets before May-ish of 2019 but after they became the person she is now, Secrets is still there in her head but River is the one who is control."

"The side's name is River?" Thomas asked, kinda surprised to have one of sides be a girl.

"Yeah, she's my sister. She represents Anger and Secrets," Roman said as he walked up next to Virgil, standing by him.

"Is she going to be okay?" Thomas asked, now worried about the girl.

"Hopefully but we need to go find her," Virgil said as he turned towards her window and pushed both sides open all the way.

Virgil led them down the staircase that ran under another, they were now in a cabin River had that was at the end of path that started at the Dark Sides' house. Virgil had explained that this was River's way of getting into her IBR. When they went through the portal at the end of the steps, they walked into a large room that looked like it came straight from the 1960's.

"What the hell is this place?" Roman asked, confused why his sister's IBR looked nothing like his.

"The only place River has ever really called home, that's what mine is. Mine looks like my old family home, I think this is the one place where River has ever felt safe enough to call it home," Virgil said as he walked over to an older style TV, adjusting the antennas.

"It looks very modern, and from our time at all," Janus commented walking towards the staircase closest to him.

"Ooo, the child superheroes! I forgot about them, modern day child-labor at it finest!" Remus exclaimed happily as he stood by a love seat nearby that had a pair of Umbrella Academy pillows siting on it.

"Emo, have you ever been in here? You and River were close," Roman asked as he followed Virgil up the opposite set of stairs that Janus went up.

Virgil looked back at him before continuing forward, "No, River doesn't really like having people in her personal life. Forgive the pun, but she's very secretive about her life before she was forced to be a side. I mean she talks about it but it's never very detailed..."

Roman paused, looking around the room, everyone was looking at something different , with Thomas smelling a candle that had previously sat on a coffee table. "How are we going to find her?"

Virgil stopped at the top of the steps and turned to look at Roman, "I don't know, I kinda just planned on searching for her husband."

"Do you even know his name?" Roman climbed up the stairs the rest of the way, meeting Virgil at the top.

"Yeah, River has never really given me any names but she does get pretty drunk sometimes and she once went on a rant about her husband and their relationship when she was black-out drunk, it was actually pretty funny," Virgil laughed a little and pushed some hair from his face.

"You and my sister really got along huh?"

"Yeah, yeah we do. She's probably my best friend, and I'm theirs."

More time had gone by and they had finally found the door that led to their originating universe, the same universe Virgil would go to see his family. It was a lot different from how they all remembered it. They had entered in a courtyard / garden of sorts that had a statue head in the middle. Virgil walked to the head and read the plate the sat on it's pedestal. It read 'OBSIDIAN MEMORIAL PARK Graciously Donated By SIR REGINALD HARGREAVES This First Day of October, 1989'.
