Dasker made his way back to the house just as the doctor, Eva, left. She, along with the warriors, bowed their heads down at the sight of him. "Raven will be just fine, alpha. It will take some time for her to heal, but for now, she should stay on bed rest." Dasker nodded at her words, and Eva continued past him. When he entered the house, he saw Raven slowly walking towards the kitchen. "You're supposed to be resting." His voice made Raven turn her head, and her eyes shone with anger. She ignored him as she continued walking towards the kitchen, searching inside the fridge. Dasker followed, watching her every move. "You can't leave the house for a while." His voice was firm. Raven slammed the fridge doors shut and turned to face him.

"You're not the boss of me," she scoffed, "If I so please to, I will leave this house."

"No, you won't." Dasker glared at her and she stared back, challenging him.

"Or what? You're going to compel me again?" Her tone was filled with anger and hurt.

"I did that for your own good. Raven, the guy came back and kidnapped you!" He shouted, his anger growing. "I wouldn't have had to compel you if you didn't lie to me."

"So what? Are you going to hunt down and kill every person who looks at me the wrong way? God forbid they hurt my feelings a little, huh?" Although she hid it well, Raven's heart was throbbing.

"Maybe." He never once broke eye contact, "If someone lays a finger on you, I'll kill them." Raven went quiet, but she didn't calm down.

"You just want me to hide behind your back every time things go south," she argued. "You want me to be your weak, little wolf, while you play the big bad alpha." Her eyes started watering. "Well, I won't play along, and I definitely won't be yours." She stormed off, but once she was halfway to her room, Dasker spoke up, his voice deep and stern, and full of anger.

"I'm telling you this as your alpha; you are not to leave this house without my permission." Raven stopped right outside her door, turning to look at Dasker for only a second.

"You are not my alpha." She reached for the handle, but before she could go to turn it, a breeze swept behind her. Dasker grabbed her wrist softly, making her turn to face him. His face was deprived of anger, guilt taking its place.

"I'm sorry," he apologized with a low, quiet voice, and a heavy sigh followed. Raven could tell that it wasn't easy for him to say those words. "You're right. I'm not your alpha, yet." She noticed the yet in his sentence, but she ignored it and focused on the rest of his words. "And I know you're mad at me, but just think about the position I'm in. That guy didn't just 'hurt your feelings', he tortured you." She could sense anger building up in Dasker again, so instinctively, she placed her palm on his cheek, calming him down. At their eye contact, she could feel her heart stop throbbing, and instead, begin to flutter. "Look, I have a lot of enemies- wolves and vampires alike. They've wanted me dead for a long time, but I've never been vulnerable to their attacks. Now I have a weakness, and they're bound to try something once they put one and one together." As he explained, Raven couldn't help but wonder,

"What weakness?" She asked, curious. Dasker gazed into Raven's eyes, looking for any sarcasm or humor, but he found none. She was being genuine. A small curve appeared at the ends of his mouth. He leaned his head down as he pulled her chin up with his hand, giving her a quick peck on her lips.

"My weakness is you, love." All of Raven's past anger and fear surrounding Dasker quickly washed away, and only the awe of his words was left standing. She could feel herself blush at his words, but the moment was quickly crushed by her realization. Dasker saw a flash of fright on her face.

"So you think..." She paused for a moment, taking all the information in, "you think that to get to you, they're going to come after me?" Dasker closed his eyes, taking in a deep breath before giving her the answer she dreaded.

"Yes." Worry took over her mind. "That's why I don't want you leaving this house- at least here I know I can keep you safe." He placed his hands around her hips, pulling her into his chest. Raven inhaled his scent, making her mind ease.

"Okay." She wrapped her arms around his body, pushing herself closer to him. "I'll stay here."

Dasker was satisfied by her reply, and Raven was glad that they hadn't ended the night in argument and angry at each other. The next few weeks passed smoothly. No vampires were found wandering the territory, and no rogue wolves were spotted near the borders. A handful of guards were ordered to watch over the house, and two were commanded to stay inside and assist Raven. One was a young, but strongly built, woman named Rebecca, and the other was Ashton- Theo's best friend. Both of them were strong and portrayed a confident appearance, which to outsiders would most definitely be intimidating, yet, Raven only viewed them as regular pack members. Perhaps it was because she was eager to have company to fight off the boredom of being stuck inside for weeks. Her days were spent mostly alone in the house, except for when Dasker would check in on her and stay a couple of hours. She binged new shows and movies daily but was soon tired of it all. Once Rebecca and Ashton had been set guard on the inside, Raven took it as an opportunity to make new friends. The only issue was: they weren't looking for friendship, they were on the lookout for intruders, and their main task was to keep Raven safe. While Rebecca was much more strict about this, Ashton allowed himself to converse with Raven and, although rare, he even commented on the shows and movies she would watch.

Meanwhile, Dasker was suspicious at how quiet his enemies had been. They were planning something- they had to be. That was the only explanation. Unless...

"Has the lycan surfaced?" His tone was weary, yet calm. Theo looked up at him in confusion.

"I haven't heard anything about that, but I can ask around," Theo answered, but Dasker was quick to shake his head.

"No, leave it be. It'll induce panic in the pack, and that won't help us at all." Theo nodded in agreement. Dismissing his beta, Dasker left for his house. As he neared, the delicate scent of Raven greeted him. He walked inside to see Raven lying on the couch, busy watching a zombie movie. When she heard the click of the door closing, she hurriedly jumped up, a wide smile encasing her face. She turned in his direction and sprinted at him, jumping into his arms and wrapping her arms around his chest. Dasker wrapped his arms under her thighs, lifting her into the air and twirling her around. She let out a soft laugh before placing her lips on his cheek.

"I've missed you!" She exclaimed, holding his face in her hands. All of the thoughts that had previously been racing in Dasker's head disappeared, and all he could focus on was Raven's touch and voice. Instead of speaking, he placed his lips onto hers roughly, and he could hear her heartbeat speed up, causing his lips to curve up slightly. Indulged in her warm lips, he felt his body relax. When Raven pulled away, breaking their kiss, her smile had grown wider, and she gazed into his eyes with a look of surprise, desire looming in her irises. Dasker leaned his face slightly into her neck, nuzzling her before inching closer to her ear.

"Oh yeah?" He whispered, and Raven's face flushed red. He was about to say something else, but then his eyes focused on the two guards standing on the opposite end of the room. Annoyance appeared on his face and eyes. He gently placed Raven back down to the ground and glared at the two. "Go stand post with the other guards," he commanded. They lowered their heads in respect,

"Yes alpha," they replied, synchronously, before hurriedly leaving the house. Once they were gone, Dasker turned back to Raven, a suggestive look on his face. He inched closer to her and placed his hands on her waist, pulling her into his chest. Lifting her chin up with his fingers, he gazed back into her eyes.
