"So what was it that you missed about me?" A smirk appeared on his face. Raven was overflowed with the desire for his touch, and it only amplified as she saw his eyes shimmer with want. She placed her hands onto his cheeks, pulling his head down before sliding her lips onto his. He quickly returned the kiss passionately, tightening his hold on her waist as he pulled her into him, hoping to eliminate any space in between them. After a couple of moments, he could sense that Raven needed to breathe, so he broke their kiss, nuzzling his head into her neck. He placed his lips down onto her skin, and she moved her head to give him space. He pecked kisses on her neck, making his way to the area that was normally reserved for mate markings. He hovered over it longer than the other areas, but Raven didn't mind.Soon, he felt a slight thirst overcome him, and his body began yearning for blood. Unable to control them, his fangs sprung out, threatening to puncture her skin, but before they could do so, Dasker jerked his head back. His breathing was heavy, and he backed away from her. Raven looked up, noticing his swirling red eyes and the veins protruding from under his eyes. She saw his fangs, and his face shined of anger- not at her, but at himself. "Fuck," his voice was low and stiff. He ran his hands through his hair, his head still hanging back.
"Dasker..." Raven whispered as she stepped closer to him. At her movement, he stepped back, afraid he wouldn't be able to control his thirst. He only ever had a hard time controlling himself when he neared Raven, and that put her in danger. If he was to bring harm upon her, he could never forgive himself. He feared that his dangerous attraction to her could very well be the death of her if he wasn't careful.
"Don't," he moved his face to look at her, but his eyes refused to leave her neck.
"Dasker," she stepped toward him again, closing their distance. She slowly grabbed his hand, interlacing her fingers with his. He jerked his head away from her, turning it to look at a wall.
"Raven, please," he wanted her to back away- to get away from him- but she didn't. Instead, she tightened her hold on his hand, hoping to give him some assurance.
"Look at me," she pleaded. Dasker didn't budge as he continued staring at the wall. With her empty hand, she gently grabbed his chin, turning him to face her. Knowing she wouldn't give up, he forced his eyes closed as he obliged and let her turn his head. She watched his veins as the blood rushed through. "Open your eyes..." Unable to refuse her soft, caring voice, Dasker took in a deep breath before opening his eyes. An affectionate smile formed on her face as she admired his deep, red irises. Dasker focused on her face for only a couple of seconds before his drive urged him to fixate his eyes on her neck. He listened to her blood pulse through her veins, and soon, that noise was all he heard. It grew louder and louder until it engulfed his mind and ears. No longer did he feel the sparks of Raven's touch, nor did he hear her delightful, angelic voice. A temptation grew inside of him, drawing him closer to her neck. As he inched closer to her, Raven didn't make a move. She couldn't. A deep feeling overtook her, and it was like she was being forced to let him near. Her eyes shone gold, but as Dasker placed a hand on her shoulder, trying to better access her neck, specks of lapis blue spiraled alongside the gold. Just as Dasker's fangs brushed over the skin of her neck, his drive broke, and once he realized what he was doing, he hurriedly rushed himself back away from Raven. He glanced up at her and was entranced by her eyes. They weren't just swirling gold, but half blue. They shimmered in the light, and it looked like Raven was in her own mind, oblivious to what was happening. Within a couple of seconds, her own compulsion broke, and she looked up at Dasker. They both returned to their normal appearances, staring at one another in astonishment, speechless.
Interrupted by a knock on the door, they broke their eye contact, shaking away the feelings of their moment. While Dasker approached the door, Raven let out a breath she didn't know she had been holding. When he pulled the door open, two men and a woman stood outside, and by the looks of it, they were very well acquainted with Dasker. He stood aside, letting them enter. The woman was the first to notice Raven, a short giggle escaping her lips. "Were we interrupting something, brother?" She flashed a cheeky smile at Raven, and one of the men standing alongside her rolled his eyes. Brother? These are his siblings? He never talked about any siblings other than Zara... Raven thought to herself. She was surprised he had never mentioned them.
